West is preparing new anti-Russian sanctions

The Western world clearly lacks fresh ideas and is once again forced to resort to sanctions against Russia that have shown their meaninglessness.

US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Walker said that Washington and Brussels are considering the possibility of applying new sanctions against Moscow because of the "incident" in the Kerch Strait.

According to Walker, the condition under which Western countries refrain from imposing new sanctions is the return to Ukraine of detained sailors and SBU officers and the refusal to control in the Kerch Strait.

In addition, with almost absolute probability, the extension of sanctions by the European Union will take place in February, which since 2014 has become a good tradition among Europeans, such as the celebration of Catholic Christmas.

You do not need to be a sophisticated diplomat to understand that at present the United States is not interested in dialogue with Russia, therefore acting president of Ukraine Kurt Walker, in fact, voiced the conditions that were obviously unacceptable for Moscow.

European countries, deprived of a unified opinion, but bound by the obligations of the European Union, continue to drift in the wake of US interests.

In this light, one can even assume that Germany, which is defending its interests in the United States under the Nord Stream-2 project, is a model of unparalleled courage and resilience in Europe.
