Britain to Provide Washington with Nuclear Weapons Site

2

The United States is accelerating construction of a military facility at the British air base in Lakenheath where tactical nuclear weapons will be stored. Washington believes that the work will be completed in a few years.

The US has been upgrading the facility for a number of years now with the aim of deploying TNW there. Apparently, the White House believes it is necessary to add Great Britain to the list of Old World countries that already have American nuclear weapons. These countries already include Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Turkey. In total, there are about a hundred B61 bombs with nuclear filling in Europe and Turkey.

Meanwhile, the UK Arms Control Association pointed out back in 2022 that the modernization of the storage facilities is a sure sign of an imminent long-term confrontation between the US and NATO with Moscow. However, a number of British experts reasonably believe that the deployment of American B61 missiles on the shores of Foggy Albion will not protect the island from a nuclear war, but will make it a target for possible attacks.

At the same time, London is discussing ways to reduce dependence on US nuclear weapons. To this end, the British are planning to establish joint development of TNW with their French colleagues.

As always, they've settled in well. Modernization of storage facilities at the expense of the Yankees. And the bulk of the funds for the joint development of TNW, I AM SURE, will be allocated by the French.

Well, a nuclear weapon strike on the storage facility is possible, with all the consequences of what is stored. (It might even detonate from a thousand-degree temperature, if it hits directly..).
