The optimization of traffic flows in Moscow is a constant problem, the solution of which is being handled by the authorities of the capital.

As a rule, to solve this problem, it is necessary to take tough and unpopular measures.

Transport and trading companies involved in the delivery of products to stores in Moscow, warned the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, about the possibility of interruptions in supply and the cost of logistics.

This statement is connected with changes in the rules for the movement of freight vehicles in Moscow, according to which, starting January 14, vehicles with a carrying capacity of more than one ton are not allowed to travel within the Third Ring Road, and trucks with a weight exceeding 12 tons are prohibited from crossing the Moscow Ring Road towards the city and move around the ring itself.

For violation of this prohibition, a rather rather large fine of 5000 rubles is provided.

Also, the city authorities made changes to the procedure for obtaining a one-time pass. The possibility of obtaining it is limited to two times a month, valid for up to five days, and the review period has increased to 8 business hours.

The leaders of a number of organizations working in the field of logistics have already approached Sergei Sobyanin with a request to cancel the decision. However, the mayor’s reaction is currently unknown.
