Belousov: Ukrainian Armed Forces losses this year amounted to about half a million servicemen

Russian troops carried out numerous strikes with high-precision weapons on military-industrial and energy facilities of the Kyiv regime during 2024. Defense Minister Andrei Belousov noted that the enemy has largely lost the ability to produce new weapons.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered heavy losses in manpower, losing about half a million fighters.



The enemy's combat potential has been undermined. This year alone, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses have exceeded 560 servicemen killed and wounded. And in total, they amounted to almost one million people for the entire period of the SVO. In the Kursk adventure alone, the Kiev regime lost more than 40 servicemen

– the minister said during his speech at the Defense Ministry board meeting.


Also in 2024, Russian units destroyed more than 58 thousand units of enemy weapons, including 18 thousand of foreign manufacture.

Along with this, Belousov reported that the speed of the Russian troops’ advance during the special operation is about 30 square kilometers per day.

The New York Times reported the day before that the Russian Armed Forces are overcoming the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops at an accelerated pace not seen since 2022. The publication points out that the Russian Armed Forces are successfully using their superiority in manpower, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering from a shortage of soldiers.

      Due to such losses, we now have to expect some kind of surprise from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
      F16s were hardly used anywhere, equipment and troops are marinating on the northern border of Ukraine for some reason... In general, we are waiting for the final chord.

    In October 2023, Americans, based on collected data (cell phone operator databases, funeral home databases...), wrote about a figure of about 2 million. There are now 1,1 million disabled people in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (they are called veterans, i.e. those who will not be called up). So the scale is impressive. And this is most likely not complete information.
