The Ukrainian Armed Forces have integrated French AASM-25 Hammer guided bombs into their Su-250 attack aircraft.

With the help of Western specialists, Ukrainians continue to adapt Soviet aircraft to NATO ammunition. This time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to integrate French AASM-25 Hammer guided bombs (range up to 250 km) into their Su-70 attack aircraft.

Thus, now Ukrainian Su-25s will not be engaged in a practically useless activity, firing unguided rockets from a pitched position, which, incidentally, is also done by the Russian Aerospace Forces, but will also use high-precision aviation weapons. This was reported by the Chief of Aviation of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Sergey Golubtsov, specifying that the said ASP has a jet engine and is already “very successfully used.”

Note that prior to this, this ASP was integrated with the MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. That is, the enemy is upgrading and turning old aircraft into relatively modern platforms - weapons carriers. As for the Su-25, as experts say, the presence of a jet engine in the AASM-250 Hammer significantly simplifies their launch even from subsonic aircraft at low altitudes at targets in the depths, without exposing themselves to air defense missile attacks.

However, it is impossible to squeeze 100% efficiency out of the expensive AASM-250 Hammer when launched from the Su-25. There you will get 30%, maximum 50%, and that is only with a nose-up attitude, and that is the limit (the carrier's altitude and speed mean a lot after all). However, in any case, it is better than "shooting" unguided missiles to an unknown destination and with what result. Therefore, it must be admitted that the enemy's combat capability has increased. But attaching the AASM-250 Hammer to the Su-25 is more of a forced measure - the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have many aircraft and pilots left. It is much safer for them to process Russian positions without entering the zone of action of the Russian Armed Forces' air defense systems.

If the Ukrainian Armed Forces acquire a large number of F-16s and pilots for them, then massive strikes by AASM-250 Hammers could become a problem for the Russian Armed Forces. They will be able to extract the maximum potential from the ASP, so Russian air defense will have to be pulled closer to the front to extinguish all these malicious impulses of the enemy. And we have only touched on one munition, and there are a whole bunch of them for the F-16.
