Russia Armed with Marine Drones – Ukraine Loses Monopoly on Using BEKs in the Black Sea

35 012 7

It has become known that a new useful course for training operators of high-speed unmanned boats (UHB) has been introduced into the training program (combat training) of the personnel of the Russian Navy. The mentioned training course consists of both a theoretical part and a practical part, including night time.

Thus, Ukraine has lost its monopoly on the use of BEKs in the Black Sea. The Russian military has been using sea drones for some time, but has now decided to expand its activities. The publication cited the details "News", citing sources in the Ministry of Defense and experts.

According to the expert, retired captain of the first rank Vasily Dandykin, the BEK operator is the captain of a small ship, which he controls alone. The operator must be able to evade the enemy, make various maneuvers, correctly aim at the target, i.e. be ready to perform complex tasks to destroy enemy ships and objects.

The enemy was the first to start using them. Of course, not without the help of Western sponsors. They named the devices in Ukrainian, but, in fact, these BEKs are developments of Great Britain and the USA. And they got on our nerves, especially at first. In particular, during the attack on the Crimean Bridge

- he specified.

The expert noted that the Russian military has already learned to destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces' sea drones using both ships and aircraft. The Black Sea Fleet conducted exercises this year to practice destroying enemy drones. Given the ongoing SVO, operators' skills will be tested and their expertise sharpened directly in combat conditions.

With the help of these drones we can destroy port infrastructure, ships, although there are practically none left in Ukraine. BEKs can perform reconnaissance functions, be equipped with air defense systems and strike weapons

– added Dandykin.

He did not rule out that separate BEK units could also appear in the Russian Armed Forces, as happened with UAVs.

quite a long time ago there was an ineffective attack by a sea drone on the bridge over the Zatoka...

    Does anyone have sclerosis?

but in general, in the subject of unmanned aircraft, the Russian Federation was lagging behind colossally... but at the exhibitions everything was blooming and smelling...

It's time to stop showing off...

So, does Russia have its own "Starlink"? Or maybe BECs are controlled via fiber optics?

Whether you want to "lose" a mine in the fairway, hit a support, or "caress" moored vessels, GLONASS will be enough.

What do you have to say about positioning accuracy and resistance to electronic warfare?

There will be problems, but they can be solved. There is good experience with high-altitude reconnaissance UAVs that can guide weapons using lasers and other methods. It is also possible to use them as repeaters for new, multi-frequency communication channels. Methods can be found, but we need to work hard, which the Russian Defense Ministry has forgotten how to do over the years of "peace and grace"... Conclusion: "in a brothel, it's time to move from changing beds to changing girls"...
