Russia has two ways - empire, or collapse
The acute geopolitical crisis that has erupted around Venezuela has made many people once again think about the role and place of Russia in the modern world, its ability to defend its own interests in it and adequately respond to emerging challenges. During the heated discussion of these issues, a lot of ideas and thoughts were expressed - from balanced and thorough, to hasty and frankly absurd. At the same time, strangely enough, the main question is dispensed with: the main civilizational choice of our country.
Even the most generalized study of the history of Russia unequivocally testifies to one thing: all significant successes, both in the affirmation of one’s foreign policy priorities and in domestic construction and development economics and similar things, it was achieved exclusively during those periods when it was an imperial state. In turn, the “game of democracy” imposed on our people by the West in the 90s and, as a result, the subordination of all spheres to the state policy one dubious priority - to achieve entry "on an equal footing" into the family of "civilized countries" living according to certain "universal values", almost destroyed Russia to the ground. In any case, we are reaping the bitter fruits of the "experiments" and "reforms" of those years to this day.
Anticipating emotional objections to the thesis expressed above, I will immediately make a reservation: it does not matter at all how our country was called and which flag fluttered over the Kremlin during the periods in question. Let me give you the simplest but most relevant example today: if we take the relations between our country and Japan, then in what year did we look like those in the Empire - in 1905, when they suffered shameful military defeats from the samurai, or in 1945, completely defeating the huge Kwantung army? And, for that matter - today Japan, where the Emperor is still at the head of the state, has been trying for a long and tedious way, excuse me, to "knock out" the Kuriles from us, and not vice versa. So - it’s not the name of the matter, and not the title of the supreme ruler. Under communist Stalin, our country was a hundred times larger than the Empire than under some representatives of the Romanov dynasty. This, in my opinion, is obvious.
Moreover, the fierce debate that continues to this day about which Russia is considered “right,” and, therefore, worthy of inheritance and rebirth — “white” or “red”, is harmful to our statehood no less than globalist ideas inspired from outside. The endless squabble of the "monarchists" with the "communists" (most of which, in fact, are not really one or the other) leads us to yet another dead end. It is high time to admit that even in the most tragic page in the history of our country - the Civil War, both sides had their own truth and beliefs. On both sides of the barricades there were heroes whom the people should be proud of, and executioners, who, rightly, should not be raised on pedestals solely because of their belonging to “those” or “these” ... And it’s enough to conduct verbal battles around the revival of the monarchy in Russia and things like that! Extremely tempting, but hardly technically feasible. And this is not the main thing, not at all!
What is the Empire really? A strong and independent state, capable of defending its vital interests, regardless of either its own costs or other people's threats. A country that never, under any guise, allows anyone to interfere in their internal affairs, does not even allow the thought that someone can point it out, and even more so, push it around. A state that demands loyalty and service from its citizens, while at the same time repaying to those who deserve it fully and deservingly. These are, so to speak, only the most general postulates, supplemented by many inalienable details and particulars.
The Empire has no permanent enemies or friends, but only permanent interests. Its true and eternal allies are its own army, navy, and special services. The support of the Empire is its people, united by a single idea: the belief that they live in a better country on Earth, worthy that, for the sake of its prosperity and security, one should spare neither strength nor, if necessary, life. The imperial power of the people should enjoy not only full confidence, but absolute, indisputable authority. And this authority should not rest on one power of “punitive organs” at all ...
An empire does not have to constantly wage war, much less “capture” and “subjugate”. However, if someone in the world, seeking her protection and patronage, wants to join, she will never refuse. What the Empire will not do in any case is to sacrifice its territories and allies. Especially - for the sake of someone else's interests or requirements. Empires do not scatter lands, they collect and multiply them. And wars are waged, for the most part, on foreign territory. To admit the enemy to their own limits is an extreme case, and such an enemy must be punished with the utmost cruelty, so that even the great-grandchildren who dared to encroach on the Empire would continue to be disgraced. Otherwise, this is not the Empire, but some kind of misunderstanding ...
A state claiming the title of Empire should be independent economically and financially. Absolutely and completely. At least - due to the fact that his potential enemies in no case should have tools for dictate in these areas. The empire must be ready at any moment to turn into a besieged fortress, ready not only to repulse the assault, but also to survive the siege with minimal losses. In this case, it’s worth again to turn to the experience of the Soviet Union, which was able to provide itself with any kind of raw materials and products exactly 100%. Well, and of course, the Empire, voluntarily or involuntarily supporting its own haters with its resources, storing its money in their banks and depending on their of technologies - this is simply some kind of nonsense.
An empire cannot exist without an elite. She is her blood, her muscles, her spirit. And, for God's sake, put aside the talk that in Russia “it is vitally necessary to revive the nobility”! Again - the idea is not bad, but how do you really imagine it? It’s not a matter of “blue blood” - this is one hundred percent proof of the experience of Stalin, who managed to grow up the military, political, scientific elite that shook the world from yesterday’s illiterate peasants and semi-literate workers. Not shying, however, at the same time and nobles - if only they were sensible people. The imperial elite differs from the snickering riches-bourgeois, who imagine themselves to be the “salt of the earth” in that their social and material status is firmly tied to the State, they are a material reflection of the degree of fidelity and usefulness of their country to both specific people and whole surnames. And ... Yes - there can be no "oligarchs" trying to bend the country through the knee at their own whim by definition.
Today, many call the empire the United States of America. This is not true at the root. Just the United States is an evil and vile parody of the very concept of the Empire - since all the fundamental principles set forth by me above, with a certain external similarity, are distorted there to the exact opposite. Present (and always) America is a country of victorious criminals, hucksters and scammers, whose descendants try to sow the noble imperial habits - from the proud eagle on the coat of arms, and ending with the unthinkably bloated claims for world leadership. None of this country, intensively exporting its own Sodom and Gommor all over the planet, is not the Empire. It’s time for them to explain this objectively.
Is the current Russian government ready to build an empire? A difficult question ... Vladimir Putin, on the one hand, scolding the Western countries for “imperial thinking, trapping them”, on the other hand, voluntarily or involuntarily, has advanced Russia in this direction as much as possible. Even - with their mistakes and miscalculations, which made many think about the future of the country. Perhaps, not being able to build an Empire, he, in any case, paves the way for it.
The main thing is that it is the imperial idea that is as spiritually close as possible for the Russian people. A model of a state with strong power that “does not offend” its people by “fair” governing it - that’s what the Russians have always strived for in one way or another. The proof is again the Stalinist period of history: they built and built communism, but came to the “Red Empire”. Then they first returned to “developed socialism”, which ended with “perestroika,” then began to “instill democratic values”. As a result, they almost lost everything. And ourselves and the country ... Now - weep for the good and "right" king-priest, who will protect, feed and restore order. It is not the king’s business, it’s us. In our inner choice, which is the time to make right now. Many sensibly and realistically reasoning people realize not only the undoubted advantages, but also the hardships of imperial life. An uncompromising foreign policy cannot but be accompanied by a certain tightening of the domestic one. Strengthening military power is also not in vain - and an Empire with a weak army is impossible in principle. There are other "cons", however ...
Russia simply has no other choice! They will not be allowed to turn into any toothless, pastorally neutral Switzerland. Not with our territories, not with our resources, not with our potential. A flock of shabby "civilized" jackals knows all too well how much tasty meat on the bones of a Russian bear. He also remembers what this good-natured “bumpkin” is capable of, who has lost his temper, who has easily crushed the ridges of those who intended to bite off a tidbit from him or cling to his throat. "An equal member of the world community", built on the patterns of the Anglo-Saxons, we will never be! And there is no need to breed antimonies on the theme of “peaceful coexistence” with the West - under no circumstances is it possible. In 1945, shaking in horror of our power and military prowess, they immediately began to implement new plans to destroy the red Empire that saved the world from Nazism. And it will always be so. Another thing is that it was the strength and power of our country that did not allow us to turn it into radioactive ash. This is what we must remember.
Today the world is experiencing its next rebirth. Another era is approaching, in which there will be no place for the weak and timid. Russia will either enter the proud and powerful Empire into this new world - or it will not enter at all.
