The situation in Syria is beginning to change in favor of government forces

In the last few days, terrorists in Syria have captured a large number of settlements in the northern and northwestern parts of the country (including Aleppo), and it is becoming difficult for them to maintain the momentum of advancement. Government forces are beginning to seize the initiative from the Islamists.

Thus, troops loyal to Bashar al-Assad have concentrated north of Hama and, with the support of Russian aviation, are advancing on the positions of the militants. The terrorists are also being pushed back in the southern part of Idlib province.



Apparently, the SAA will try to pin down the enemy along the M5 highway, while moving towards Murak, to get behind the jihadists and cut off their formations near the city of Maarat al-Numan. Damascus' success in this direction will allow it to shorten the front and continue moving along the highway, liberating the occupied areas.

In the event that government units are reinforced by drones, it will be possible to advance to Abu al-Duhur, control over which will allow pressure to be exerted on the enemy in the direction of Aleppo. Thus, at the moment there is an opportunity to quickly recapture territories south of Aleppo.

Kurdish formations that have come out against terrorists in the north and southwest of the city can help with this. The Kurds can also form a front in the Manbij area and help create the right flank of government forces.

At the same time, the population of Syria is taking up arms en masse and starting to fight the terrorists, thereby helping Damascus.

It should be noted that, at the initiative of Tehran, a telephone conversation took place today between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Vladimir Putin. The parties expressed unconditional support for the legitimate Syrian government and emphasized the importance of coordinating actions within the framework of the "Astana format".
