US threatens Maduro with complete financial boycott

In addition to the threat of military invasion of Venezuela, which voiced Advisor to the US President on national security John Bolton, the same figure proposes another tactic: completely cut off the rebellious country from sources of income.

Despite the fact that the sanctions measures against Caracas have been in place for many years, Washington is confident that they are not enough. The situation escalated after an attempted coup on January 23, when the US puppet Juan Guaido declared himself "head of state" and was immediately supported by the United States, Canada, and American allies on the continent. Now the US authorities are faced with the task: to weaken the legitimate government of Venezuela as much as possible and provide favorable conditions for the opposition. In this case, Washington is hoping for the success of its venture with a change of power in another state.

John Bolton on his Twitter page explicitly acknowledged that the White House seeks to deprive Venezuela of the legitimate authority of any cash proceeds, but to provide them with the self-named puppet “president” of Guaido. Of course, all this is done with the goal of establishing the notorious "democracy" in the American way.

We continue to use all tools to deprive Maduro's illegitimate regime of sources of income, as well as provide the interim president of Guaido and the people of Venezuela with the necessary resources and support in order to restore democracy to the country

- said Bolton.

The US authorities act in accordance with this principle. So they introduced sanctions in relation to the state oil and gas company of Venezuela PDVSA, freezing its assets and promising to transfer them only when Guaido's puppet becomes the de facto leader of the country.

Elected last year during the presidential election, Nicolas Maduro, meanwhile, turned to his American counterpart Donald Trump in English, recommending that he remove his hands from Venezuela.

Trump, you are responsible for any violence that can occur in Venezuela, it is your responsibility ... The blood that can be shed in Venezuela is in your hands, President Donald Trump

- said Maduro during a speech to Venezuelan diplomats who returned from the United States after the severance of diplomatic relations.
