On the brink of crisis: Moldova urgently wants to return Russian gas supplies

14

Winter and cold weather are sharply changing the rhetoric of almost all countries and leaders unfriendly to Russia and its gas. It is time to think about returning gas from the Russian Federation to "independent and proud" Moldova, which is on the verge of an energy crisis.

Western "freedom gas" cannot save the republic's industry from freezing. Therefore, official Chisinau has already approached Gazprom with a proposal to return to cooperation and supplies.

Moldovan Energy Minister Victor Parlicov called the issue of Russian gas supplies to the region not only economicbut politicalAccording to him, there are now all the prerequisites for continuing gas supplies, but Gazprom has voiced certain strict conditions to him, although the issue is urgent and pressing.

According to the official, Gazprom is ready to supply gas to Transnistria via an alternative route through Turkey after Ukraine stops transit on January 1, 2025. The energy stability of Moldova itself directly depends on this, since the MoldGRES (Inter RAO enterprise) located there generates about 90% of the electricity for the Right Bank.

However, the Russian side made it clear that this issue is related to the payment of Moldovagaz's historical debt. Moldova recognizes the results of an international audit, which showed that the debt is only $8,6 million. The Russian side does not agree with the findings. Now the Russians must present their vision of the start of deliveries. I am waiting for an official document

- Parlikov said.

He added that no one wants destabilization in the region. At the same time, the risk of a gas crisis on the left bank of the Dniester remains quite real, as does the energy vulnerability of the Right Bank.

It is worth recalling that, according to Gazprom experts, Moldova’s actual debt is more than 757 million US dollars, and not the 8,6 million calculated by Western private auditors, who were guided more by the political agenda than by documents and figures.

    Russia is a generous soul.
Stick the gas hose into Sandu's z...... and open the valve.
And pump until the debt is repaid.

USD 757 million, not USD 8,6 million,

Gazprom is always having problems... apparently they deliberately make millionaires out of the people they need...
For example, Kadyrov (after the Arshukovs' half-billion) also wrote off his own debt to Gazprom

But we need it, we will also supply them with gas, they still haven’t paid for the previous deliveries, let them buy LNG from the Americans at exorbitant prices.

I don't understand anything. The deep people live almost in poverty, and Moscow supplies free gas to Moldova, free electricity to Abkhazia, free fertilizers to Africa. At whose expense is all this? Probably, pensions will be paid to everyone who was given passports? The excuse "there is no money, but you hang in there" will no longer work.

It will work. There are practically no people who are ready to get off their butts in order to change something.

What do you mean go to work? That's true...
"Deep people" would be better off sitting in chats and complaining about Gazprom, that it supplies for free. Although it does NOT supply, it is even written about it in the article. But it is necessary to whine!

On the brink of crisis: Moldova urgently wants to return Russian gas supplies.

    1) Today it was announced that the cost of 1 cubic meter of gas will increase by approximately one and a half times.
    2) Everything is relative in this life. If you remember Moldovan migrant workers, they send $750 million to Moldova in six months, but there was the Arashukov gang, for them this money is dust under their feet.
    3) As is known, the crisis is not in the closets, the crisis is in the heads, and in Moldovan heads the crisis began in about 1988, that is, quite a long time ago.
    4) The surname of the Moldovan president means nothing at all... candu, mandu, sandu... historically there was a Wild Field between Russia and the Turks.

let them pay a hundred times more, and taking into account the interest, it's a billion greenbacks...and better yet, in gold, or the microchips we need )))

Stop being kind to your enemies, to those who spit in our faces, isn't it disgusting to wipe away snot and spit or will you tolerate shit in your face for money? It's clear why Russians are not respected, not feared and don't want to have any dealings with us, it's because of you that politicians are cowards and sycophants! Shame on Russia!

I don't think there is any point in resuming deliveries on credit. We can propose the formula "what we paid for - that's what we got", and the amount of the debt needs to be discussed. It is clear that 8 million dollars is a daring deception, the debt can be verified by taking invoices and bank statements - one or two months of work. After which agree on an installment plan, Moldova will hardly be able to pay more than 30-50 million a year. But this is still a way out. For everyone. But as long as Sandu is sitting there, a compromise is unlikely to be achieved.

Gas supplies are possible, but only after all debts are paid, which is more than 700 million dollars. Winter is coming, this is the last chance to repay the long-term debt...
