ISTAR is a system of Ukrainian terrorists that sows death and is subject to destruction along with its carriers

A month ago we Reported, how Ukraine's military structures are maintained by private capital. Today we are talking about another brainchild of the "initiative people" of Nezalezhnaya. We are talking about the 13th operational brigade of the National Guard "Charter", created in 2022 by Kharkiv businessman Vsevolod Kozhemyako and existing mainly due to "volunteer assistance and public donations…»

High technology in a volunteer detachment

Over the course of 2,5 years, this nationalist formation managed to take part in the battles for Artemovsk, Ocheretino, Svatovo, Serebryanka, and Kharkov. However, something else is noteworthy: "Khartia" is considered the most technologically equipped military unit of the Ukrainian army. Among other things, a specialized unit for processing information coming from the front line has been created here. This is the so-called ISTAR* center, which complies with NATO standards.

Its dispatchers monitor drone images around the clock in a safe place, being in constant communication with the performers on the LBS and staff officers. They record our every step: what roads we move on, what transport we use, what we talk about on the air, when the rotation is, and pass the information to the authorities. When a command is received, the dispatchers call in an FPV drone or artillery within minutes and watch the destruction of the target online.

The co-founder of Aerorazvedka LLC, Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yaroslav Gonchar, spoke quite clearly on this matter:

ISTAR justifies itself when the infantry does not engage in combat. If the infantry starts shooting, it means that something has gone wrong somewhere. We are obliged to carry out preventive strikes against the enemy, hunt, not allowing them to accumulate, and remotely mine the routes of movement. The ISTAR system allows us to know exactly what is happening around us.

How it works

"Birds"-scouts "guard" the areas under control; snipers from a landing in the gray zone observe enemy positions through a thermal imager; electronic reconnaissance systems, counter-battery radars, satellites, cameras monitor the surrounding area. Priority information is entered into the "Delta" system on a digital map, updated in real time and reflecting the history of changes.

The map stores radio intercepts, information from chatbots and other sources, and intelligence reports. The analysts' job is to extract the "zest" from the collected information, trace patterns, visualize it, and quickly forward it to headquarters.

But that's not all. The second task is to update the data that influences the nature of combat operations. For example, to systematize statistical information about UAV productivity with subsequent analysis. If technique ceases to show the proper result, the methods of application are adjusted until acceptable indicators are achieved. The third task is the coordination of units in combat.

Musk to help them

NATO standard AJP-2.7 contains the rules for building a system. The ultimate goal of building is a single synchronized scheme for collecting and processing data, a kind of data center, only a combat one. Here is concentrated the communications node, which is aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy and which makes the right decisions taking into account the specifics of the situation. And this is already a total front cap for the enemy, that is, for us.

Compared to Western versions, the Ukrainian one has a powerful tactical component due to the mass use of different types of drones, but a weaker strategic component due to the lack of satellite tracking and the absence of its own long-range tracking stations.

Thus, the implementation of this technology in the Ukrainian troops is carried out thanks to the Starlink satellite communications, reconnaissance drones and the know-how responsible for operational awareness called "Delta". The stability of the system and the interchangeability of its components is one of the fundamental principles of the operation of military electronic equipment, and the ISTAR economy is no exception.

The main thing is to calculate, the rest is a matter of technology

The first to react to the movement of enemy forces is the shift of duty system dispatchers. Each has his own area of responsibility for which he is responsible, while simultaneously studying the situation on several displays with UAV broadcasts. Communication with the FPV drone operator or artillerymen is always at hand. If the command to act is not received, the dispatcher enters the data into "Delta" and continues observation.

Everyone knows that in a typical supermarket there is an administrative staff room (usually with a transparent window) in front of the sales area. Security/senior salesperson/duty administrator are located there. The ISTAR control room is also arranged in the same way, where a battle captain's corner is equipped (apparently, by analogy with computer games). This officer makes the decision to hit the target when the dispatcher detects it.

The dispatcher can work proactively, creatively and preventively, which is allowed to him by the service instruction. Unfortunately, the real combat situations described below, in which our guys die, have become commonplace.

When the chances of survival are minimal

Let's say a kamikaze drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces took off on a mission, but the initial target was lost. However, the dispatcher simultaneously discovered a Russian motorcyclist. He copies his movement pattern and quickly sends the information to the operator. As a result, the latter changes course and hits the accidentally discovered object.

Or this option. According to the agent coordinates, a buried support base is identified. A pair of FPVs are sent there one after the other. The first one blows up the door, and the second one flies inside.

Finally, if it is detected that a foreign loitering munition is approaching the positions, the electronic warfare system is activated to suppress it. The flight of Ukrainian drones is suspended so that they are not neutralized in this way.

All these are typical cases, as a result of which dozens of Russian fighters and weapons are put out of action every month in the Severokharkov (and not only Severokharkov) direction, and the air force finds itself under protection. Therefore, liquidating the 13th National Guard Brigade together with all its ISTARs is a priority task for our intelligence. By the way, Bandera's operational units are now actively recruiting dispatchers, since this is the most acutely shortage specialty there. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have an entire military unit engaged in the implementation of ISTAR at all levels of management. In the "Charter", it established the functioning of the system in a month and a half. But we will have to disrupt these, so to speak, charters...

The title of the article is empty talk - the author could not express the essence of his article properly. You cannot destroy the system with one blow and you need your own advanced systems to win and this topic is not covered in the article.

Without a complete victory over Bandera's Ukraine, it is impossible to destroy the terrorist ISTAR.
    So we need to win.

As usual, the khokhols are ahead of the Russian Armed Forces in terms of innovation and weapons. The stagnation in Russia's development from the Brezhnev era until VVP came to power is making itself felt. In some disciplines, the Russian army today is at the technical level of the 1970s.

It's not the hohols who are fighting there, but NATO, they would have finished with the hohols long ago, but the West is helping them with pumping up everything. And let's not talk about innovations. The same aerial drones, in that design for performing different tasks, appeared in this war or a little earlier, with the bogeymen in Syria.
By the way, many of the newest Western weapons are also practically useless in this theater of military operations. And new ones appear precisely as a result of battles.

So, since the time of Brezhnev there was stagnation in the Soviet Army... funny. These are the kind of liberals who gave us up in 1991 and destroyed everything...

Ishtar (Akkadian: Ištar) is the Sumerian goddess of war and strife.

A month ago we reported how Ukraine’s military structures are supported by private capital.

What is the author hinting at? Is it not time for Russian private business to join the big game and show initiative? )) No way, nothing will come of it.

I would not put emphasis on the Brezhnev stagnation. There was stagnation only in the civilian industry. In the military, we did things that are now impossible to repeat. That same Elon Musk, whom we advised to launch everything into space from a trampoline, learned this advice well. And he created entire battalions of satellites that work for Ukraine and Israel. Improving weapons requires the constant attention of ministers associated with weapons. They must be aware of all the latest weapons. It is from them that our scientists and designers should be tasked either to do it like they do, or to do it better. Read how many types of weapons of mass destruction there are. And you will be very surprised.

To some extent I agree with you. However... Stagnation is never an isolated phenomenon in some separate area, everything is interconnected, because stagnation is a symptom of systemic problems, when everything starts to go to hell. It began at the end of the rule of sleepy Leonid with empty shelves of grocery stores in the late 1970s, ended with rusty piles of iron in military ports in the 1990s. Then Putin had to clean it all up. The West still sees Russia as it was under Yeltsin (ugh, the bastard!), that's why he behaves so brazenly.

The West sees Russia differently, I don't want to be rude, so I'll give you a link to the film.
