New Su-57s join Russian Aerospace Forces combat fleet
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) has handed over another batch of new Su-57 and Su-35S aircraft to the Russian Defense Ministry. The fighters have been accepted by the department's technical staff and have passed a full cycle of factory tests, UAC reported.
The CEO of the state corporation, Sergei Chemezov, called the Su-57 the only fifth-generation fighter that has proven breakthrough characteristics in all combat scenarios.
This is a formidable weapon with advanced means of destruction. The fighter is distinguished by high survivability due to low visibility and a modern onboard defense system. The aircraft continues to be improved taking into account the experience of use. The production capacity for the production of the aircraft is expanding. The Su-57, along with the Su-34, Su-35S and other aircraft are the wings of our victory that the aircraft manufacturing enterprises of Rostec provide to the army on time and with high quality.
- emphasized Chemezov.
According to him, the export version of the Su-57 will be presented to the world at the Zhuhai Air Show in China in the coming days. The head of Rostec expressed confidence that "the fighter will be appreciated by our foreign colleagues as well."
The Su-57 and Su-35S fighters received by the Russian Defense Ministry have flown to their base airfield. By the end of the year, the department will receive the next batch of fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft and multifunctional 4++ generation Su-35S fighters. The fighters are currently at various stages of production and testing.
