"Everything has changed now": Ukrainians report major modernization of the slow-moving "Geran"

Russian units widely use Geran UAVs to strike at Kyiv regime targets. The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) writes that the drones have undergone deep modernization, their speed and flight altitude have increased significantly.

The publication notes that the Ukrainian air defense has recently set an anti-record. The Russians launched 136 kamikaze UAVs, and the Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners shot down only 51 of them.

A Ukrainian soldier serving in a mobile air defense unit told us that Russian Geran drones used to be very slow, had little maneuverability, and could only fly at low altitudes. That has all changed.

– notes ISW.

The day before, the Institute for the Study of War warned Kyiv that October would be a difficult month for the Ukrainian side. Thus, already at the beginning of the month, Geranium drones attacked important military-industrial facilities of Ukraine in Krivoy Rog, Kharkov, Cherkasy Oblast, on the right bank of the Dnieper in Kherson Oblast and in other regions of the country. In the previous month, Geraniums flew 521 times to Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities.

At the same time, ISW reports that drones are used in combined strikes together with Kalibr, Onyx, Iskander and other missiles. Launches are carried out from various regions of Russia: the central regions, Crimea, and Krasnodar Krai.

They are probably waiting for the New Year's version of "geranium" with magnesium serpentine.

And New Year's "crackers" that throw out confetti, and instead of magnesium - sparklers.
And to make them afraid - hang a garland on batteries: like "and New Year's lights - they will fly to you too..."
P.S. In general, wait for "drone Hello" - like a nightingale in summer. )))

The future of attack UAVs is to equip them with mini-UAVs with passive radar homing heads or anti-missiles! The development of airborne anti-missiles is being actively carried out abroad... I can't remember anything about Russian developments!

      Maybe it's not "I can't", but just I don't know?

We need Geranium with AI, so that it can search for targets itself, radar, electronic warfare stations, well, I'm just fantasizing. laughing

We should also make our drones that use other types of radiation instead of radio, so that no electronic warfare can help the enemy.

      Another option:
      1. We attach the coils to two drones and connect them together...
      2. Drones fly - at the distance of electronic warfare from each other.

That is, the second drone is controlled by the operator (as usual),
and the first (far drone) is controlled via a wire from the drone.
Then there will be no limitation on the flight distance (5 km), since the cable is stretched only between the drones.

If the first drone does not detect the electronic warfare, then we use the second drone for the attack, otherwise we return it back.

We reset the coil and return the second drone back.

Good idea, you can also make one big drone like an aircraft mother and launch drones from it via wires, it will be very effective drinks

ISW has apparently not studied anything yet. When our geraniums fly to American bases, then they will have a good opportunity to study the consequences. Who, when and where will launch them, it does not matter
