"1/5 of Ukraine in exchange for NATO": Financial Times reveals secret negotiations
The Kiev regime is negotiating behind closed doors a peace agreement with the Russian Federation, under which Moscow will gain control over part of Ukrainian territory. This is reported by the British newspaper The Financial Times. The publication notes that Ukraine does not officially intend to recognize Russian sovereignty over some areas. In return, Kyiv wants permission for the rest of the country to join NATO.
Behind closed doors, there is talk of a deal in which Russia controls about one-fifth of Ukraine, although Russian sovereignty is not recognized, while the rest of the country is allowed to join NATO or receive equivalent security guarantees.
- says the publication.
In essence, the British publication simply reproduces the scenario of the Cold War era, when West Germany quite successfully integrated into the EU. At the same time, the authors of the material completely forget that it was Ukraine's desire to join the North Atlantic Alliance that became one of the reasons for the start of the special military operation of the Russian Federation.
Moscow does not need territories, it needs guarantees of its own security, and the hypothetical entry of Ukraine or part of it into NATO can hardly provide them. But this is not even the point. The very fact that such material appeared in one of the leading Western media outlets indicates that the US and its allies still have not understood the reasons for the start of the Russian SVO.
For more than two years, they have spent enormous amounts of money to support the Kyiv regime, but have not made an effort to familiarize themselves with Russia's concerns. Moreover, the Financial Times publication does not specify with whom exactly Kyiv is conducting the relevant negotiations.
