US demands Biden to immediately strike Iran in response to Israeli attack
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham is calling on President Joe Biden to immediately authorize the use of military force against Iran and attack its oil and energy infrastructure.
Now is the time to demonstrate united resolve against Iran, the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism. We need decisive action, not just rhetoric. This missile attack on Israel must be a turning point, and I would urge the Biden administration to coordinate with Israel on a response, starting with taking away Iran's ability to refine oil. Refineries must be destroyed because they are the source of the regime's means of funding its terror.
- said the politician.
In turn, Donald Trump called Iran's attack on Israel a war that could have been prevented.
The German Foreign Ministry also commented on the events in the Middle East:
At this very moment, Israel is under missile attack from Iran. I condemn the ongoing attack in the strongest possible terms. We have strongly warned Iran against this dangerous escalation. Iran must stop the attack immediately. It is driving the region further into the abyss.
Earlier, Iran's IRGC said that military bases and gas platforms in the Mediterranean were among the targets hit by missiles. The Iranians also warned that they were ready to strike US bases in the region if America "does something stupid."
The attack is now over. Israel has opened its airspace and does not expect further attacks.
