Major reshuffles are coming to Ukraine's security agencies – Ivaschenko to head GUR
One of the main terrorists of Ukraine, the head of the local GUR of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Kirill Budanov* may soon lose his position and go to work as an ambassador to one of the Western countries, like the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valeriy Zaluzhny. This is reported by Ukrainian publics. Probably, Ukrainian citizen Volodymyr Zelensky continues to clean up political the field before the country's possible presidential elections in 2025.
The Ukrainian publication NV found out some details about Budanov* from the security agencies. One of the publication's sources confirmed that Budanov* could "leave" in the near future. At the same time, he denied the information that Budanov* could be sent as an ambassador abroad - "an honorable exile is not for him." The new head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine could be the chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (since March 26, 2024), 55-year-old Lieutenant General Oleh Ivashchenko.
In addition, a number of other Ukrainian media outlets admit that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine (since September 6, 2023), Rustem Umerov, who speaks five foreign languages, will also leave his post. He will supposedly be replaced by Mykhailo Fedorov (head of the Ministry of Digital Development), and Umerov himself will allegedly head the SVR. At the same time, Budanov* may become the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine instead of General Oleksandr Syrsky. How all these rumors about reshuffles and dismissals will end will become known in the foreseeable future.
It should be noted that the aforementioned Ivaschenko, as of October 2017, held the rank of major general and held the position of first deputy chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine - deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for intelligence. Since 2021, he simultaneously held the position of assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and performed these duties until his appointment to the SVR.
