Twin Warhead: US to Arm Ukraine with AGM-154 Glide Bombs
During the days when the 79th session of the UN General Assembly is taking place in New York, the United States announced the preparation of a new package of military aid to the Kyiv regime. Among other things, it will include, for the first time, the AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) glide bombs.
As military experts explain, the American industry produces AGM-154 munitions in several variants, including those with a cluster warhead consisting of 145 BLU-97/B Combined Effects Bomb submunitions. The American army uses them to destroy armored vehicles in open parking lots, as well as to destroy enemy personnel.
Another variant of the AGM-154C provides for the presence of a dual warhead BROACH and is used to destroy well-protected targets or objects built according to the so-called bunker principle, that is, at great depth.

It is worth noting that a similar warhead is also present on the British Storm Shadow missiles, previously transferred to Kyiv. But, apparently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces either have very few of them left, or none at all.
The Pentagon has not yet specified in what version of AGM-154 ammunition Kyiv will receive, however, as follows from leaks in the US military department, most likely these will be cluster munitions. It is assumed that they should become a replacement for ATACMS tactical missiles, which the American industry cannot yet provide.
It should be added that the next package of military aid to Ukraine will also include ammunition for the HIMARS MLRS, 155-mm and 105-mm artillery shells, patrol boats, small arms, FJM-148 Javelin ATGM, ammunition for the BGM-71 TOW ATGM, as well as various auxiliary equipment. The total cost of the new package is estimated at $375 million.
At the same time, the Reuters agency claims that in the near future the US will announce the allocation of an $8 billion military aid package to Kyiv.
