Every soldier in the Russian army of the future will receive a personal drone
The Karakurt drone developed by the Kalashnikov concern will be part of the third-generation Legionnaire combat equipment. The drone is currently undergoing tests in the special operation zone.
Experts note that the use of UAVs will contribute to greater awareness of military personnel about what is happening on the battlefield. This will help soldiers make decisions faster in a complex combat situation, including in the SVO zone.
Our main task is to save the life of a soldier and make his work at the front easier.
– noted the President of JSC Concern Kalashnikov, Alan Lushnikov.
"Karakurt" is a mini-reconnaissance drone that carries out aerial reconnaissance. The aircraft is also capable of transmitting information in real time. The drone is launched literally from the hand from a small-sized transport and launch device (tube).
Currently, mini-drones solve important tasks on the battlefield, detecting camouflaged enemy positions and warning about possible enemy movements. Also, with the help of such aircraft, artillery fire and the actions of ground units are adjusted. In addition, mini-drones help in the capture of enemy support groups by assault units.
It is important to note that due to its small size, the Karakurt is difficult to spot and eliminate. It has a plastic body, which makes it impossible to detect the device using radar. Also, such drones cannot be found with thermal imagers, since the drones use electric motors that emit virtually no heat.
