The war with the Anglo-Saxons began

Great Britain will send 23 Russian diplomats from the country. The reason for the diplomatic demarche is a strange story with the poisoning of a defector and former GRU officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter. Naturally, accusations immediately fell on Russia, and Prime Minister Teresa May announced that 23 diplomats from the Russian Federation should leave the country within a week. Allegedly, they were identified by British intelligence as officers of the Russian intelligence. Russian diplomats were given only one week for training.

It is known that currently there are 58 Russian diplomats working in the UK. Thus, more than a third of them will be forced to return to their homeland. In fact, such a move on the part of London was quite predictable. It is possible that the poisoning of Sergei Skripal, completely meaningless for Russia (what could a pensioner who had long escaped abroad know, even after he had served his term in Russia?), Was of the nature of anti-Russian provocation and was rigged by the British special services themselves. Now, thanks to this incident, London has gained ground for new attacks on Russia. So the kingdom fulfills its long-standing function of Washington's manual bulldog.

Among the measures that Theresa May called, the refusal of members of the royal family and senior British officials to travel to Russia to the World Cup 2018, the withdrawal of the invitation to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, and now - the expulsion of diplomats. According to the British prime minister, a serious blow will be dealt to the expulsion of Russian intelligence in the UK. The UK is also going to subject all Russian planes to increased control measures, to freeze state assets in the event that it turns out that they can be used for some illegal actions. It seems that Britain is no longer a desirable and safe country for Russian oligarchs - it is possible that in the near future a massive outflow of capital from British financial institutions to banks of other states will begin.

In Russia, the expulsion of diplomats is called a serious provocation, since no evidence was provided of the involvement of Russian special services in the poisoning of Skripal. In fact, the demarche of London is a manifestation of “political hysteria ”, aimed at provoking Russia in response. Probably, the British authorities are simply “breaking through the situation”, how far one can go in relations with Russia and what could be the consequences for the UK.

Naturally, Russia cannot respond to the expulsion of diplomats. It is possible that the Foreign Ministry will make a decision of a "mirror" nature - it will also send 23 British diplomats from Russia. The State Duma of the Russian Federation, in turn, also promises to consider the possibility of making a statement demanding certain measures in relation to London.

No, of course this is a provocation, and Russia simply will not notice it. Well, you think the young English democracy is a little naughty, but we are persistent tin soldiers and we can endure all the insults against Russia and even silently wipe ourselves off after spitting in our faces. It's like the scripture - turn the other cheek, we are civilized Russian people, we are not barbarians.
