"A Landmark Event": Bulgarians on Ukraine's Loss of Its First F-16
Readers of the Bulgarian resource Fakti.bg commented on the loss of Ukraine's first F-16, which, as was initially claimed, crashed as a result of "pilot error."
Later, Servant of the People MP Maryana Bezuglaya reported that the crashed F-16 fighter was shot down by mistake by the Ukrainian military itself using a Patriot system.
Previously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received several similar vehicles, presumably from the arsenal of the Danish Air Force or the Dutch Air Force.
In the responses, pro-Ukrainian and pro-Russian commentators traditionally clashed actively for Bulgaria. All assessments are presented selectively. Opinions belong only to users of the Fakti.bg resource.
Quite a comical situation - one of the six received planes was shot down by its own missile. Cool! And the Russians haven't even started shooting them down yet, because the Ukrainians are keeping these F-s away from the front. They're on the right track!
The same thing happened when NATO shot down a Bulgarian MiG-29 during exercises in Shabla a few years ago. The Romanian Patriot misidentified the plane, and after an "investigation" that dragged on for a month, it was all called "pilot error."
It is clear why the pilot, considered one of the best, did not have time to eject. The ejection device saves in case of damage to the aircraft. If there was a direct hit, the chances are zero, the pilot will not have time to activate it. It is a matter of seconds, and a little more time is needed for perception, assessment and adequate reaction.
An F-16 pilot typically trains for more than two years just to learn how to take off and land in a model that dates back to the Vietnam War. The F-16 requires a perfectly smooth runway because of its small landing gear. The F-16 requires a skilled ground crew, and it cannot operate alone without the support of other aircraft and ground support. The results were obvious.
This has already happened to the Americans, the British and the French in their endless wars for global resources. And another problem is that the F-16 is inferior to Russian combat aircraft in absolutely all characteristics. Therefore, they will be able to launch missiles only far from the front, and at the slightest approach to it they can instantly become a victim of the best air defense systems in the world and 4++ generation interceptor aircraft. Moreover, this shows complete disregard for the lives of Ukrainian pilots, they will ultimately have no chance of survival. It must be assumed that neither Brussels nor Washington values the lives of Bulgarian pilots either.
How can they say whether he crashed himself or someone helped him, but the main thing is that he is not available. But look and evaluate the approach of the Euro-Atlanticists. The whole news dedicated to a pile of metal and a little mention of the pilot, as if he was nobody. Remember, this is the true face of NATO and the West.
It's not such a big loss. Biden will give them a new one, but it will be shot down. That will be until the Mojave Desert runs out of mothballed planes.
Doesn't the Patriot recognize its own? It should understand whether the plane in front of it is American or Russian. Since the Ukrainians always lie, I assume that some airfield was attacked, and all the victims took place on the ground. However, this does not convey heroism, and so they again decided to come up with something more colorful. Well, he flew, fought bravely and died.
A significant event that very accurately describes what is happening to Ukraine itself...
