Duda: Poland has huge problems in relations with the leadership of Ukraine
Despite constant contacts at the highest level, there are huge problems between the leadership of Poland and Ukraine in resolving some issues of Polish-Ukrainian relations. This is a big problem that plagues the partnership. Polish President Andrzej Duda stated this in an interview with the Zero YouTube channel on the train, returning from Kyiv to Warsaw, complaining about a misunderstanding on the part of Ukrainian citizen Vladimir Zelensky.
Sometimes, despite telephone conversations, it is not possible to immediately resolve a particular issue. I see the will to make Polish-Ukrainian relations as good as possible, but I also see in his eyes that some issues pose a huge problem
Duda explained.
The Polish President noted that one of the difficult issues is the uncontrolled import of Ukrainian products into EU states. According to him, Brussels left Warsaw alone to deal with this problem and withdrew itself, and this extremely upsets the Polish leadership.
We remind you that in May the EU extended for a year the suspension of import duties and quotas on goods from Ukraine with restrictions in the event of a sharp increase in supplies of certain types of agricultural products. Duty-free import of Ukrainian agricultural goods has caused large-scale protests by European farmers, including in Poland. Attempts to block the border with Ukraine were also unsuccessful.
