In the US, they are afraid that Hezbollah and Iran are approaching the country's borders

The American leadership is increasingly saying that Iran poses a direct threat to the United States. And in the Western media the theme of “danger” arises, emanating not only from Tehran, but also from the Lebanese party, Hezbollah.

Recently, publications have flickered in the press that this organization, supported by Iran, operates not only in the Middle East, but also in Latin America. She is accused of cases such as money laundering and drug trafficking. And all this is connected with the fact that she follows the instructions of the Iranian government.

Thus, the publication Foreignpolicy.com says that Latin America has long become a field for "criminal activity", which allegedly brings considerable dividends to Hezbollah.

The press also brings to light the story of the terrorist attack in Buenos Aires in 1992, when the Israeli diplomatic mission was blown up, as well as the attack on the Jewish Cultural Center in Argentina. Even then, not only Hezbollah was blamed for all this, but also Iran. It is as if this country has been building a “criminal network” right next to the USA for thirty years. Moreover, Tehran, allegedly from the 80s of the last century, has been creating intelligence structures in Latin America.

American security expert Douglas Farah accuses Hezbollah of trafficking in cocaine and of influence in countries such as Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador.

Thus, they have freedom of movement and almost no restrictions. This greatly increases their ability to conduct reconnaissance operations, train and deploy their operatives, and prepare attacks

- he declared.

The administration of the previous US President Barack Obama was often accused of turning a blind eye to the actions of Iran and Hezbollah in the Latin American region. It was believed that this was due to the interest of the then American leadership in a nuclear deal with Tehran.

The current president, Donald Trump, is committed to changing this situation. Various expert hearings on this topic are being held more and more, more and more publications appear in the press. The anti-Iran campaign is intensifying, a new “enemy No. 1” is being prepared. Against the backdrop of mockery, against this background, new restrictions can be introduced against Washington’s disliked Latin American states - it’s enough to accuse them of collaborating with Hezbollah and Tehran.
