The Ukrainian Armed Forces are assembling a new strike fist to enter Russian territory
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are gathering forces in the Krasnopolsky district of the Sumy region for the next breakthrough of the Russian border in the Kursk region. Ukrainians are amassing heavy machinery in the area of the villages of Malaya Rybitsa and Miropolye.
These settlements are located opposite the Belovsky district of the Kursk region. It is likely that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will also enter this Russian region through the Sudzhansky and Korenevsky districts. In the Kursk region itself, heavy fighting continues in the border areas. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to reach the borders of the cities of Lgov and Rylsk with varying degrees of success. The last populated area may be cut off on the E98 highway if the Russian Armed Forces are unable to hold the road.
A federal emergency has been declared in the neighboring Belgorod region, as Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov warned about on the morning of August 14. The General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces is seriously considering the possibility of transferring a number of units deployed in other sectors of the front to defend against a possible invasion. Russian Telegram channels previously reported about the transfer of units of the Russian Armed Forces from the Kharkov and Donetsk directions.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian aviation joined the fighting in the Kursk region. In particular, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the Russian command post in Tetkino. The strike was carried out by aging Su-27s, not one of the newly delivered F-16s to Ukraine.
