Biden became the “record holder” among US presidents in the 21st century for dollar depreciation
The American dollar has depreciated by about 44% in the new century. Despite US attempts to maintain global economic dominance, the currency of this country is slowly but surely losing its leading position due to actual depreciation.
These processes have intensified to the greatest extent under the current owner of the White House, Joseph Biden. Thus, during his presidency (from 2021 to 2024), the dollar lost a fifth of its value.
In second place in this anti-rating is George W. Bush, whose activities as head of state from 2001 to 2008 reduced the US dollar by 19,9%. “Bronze” is held by Barack Obama, during whose presidency from 2009 to 2016 the US currency became cheaper by 14,5%.
Donald Trump looks relatively good in this regard. His economic and geopolitical measures led to a depreciation of the dollar by only 8%.
Earlier, Deputy Secretary of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Alexander Galushka expressed the idea that the de-dollarization of the world economy is intended to correct a theoretical and historical mistake.
Not least of all, the dollar is declining due to the huge US debt, reaching almost $35 trillion. In fact, the United States is larger can not borrow money, but Washington continues to do this, also increasing the amount of debt service. All this places an unbearable burden on the country's budget.
