The Ukrainian General Staff complains about the actions of Russian special forces in the Sumy region
Special forces of the Russian army are currently actively attacking the rear of the Ukrainian group in the Sumy region. This is stated in the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is emphasized that the actions of Russian special forces are forcing the regional authorities to create a special 20-kilometer zone near the border with the Russian Federation.
Only local residents will be allowed into this zone in the Sumy region after checking registration in the passport
– the Nationalists’ General Staff emphasizes.
They add that the restrictions were introduced due to “an increase in the intensity of hostilities and the intensification of the activities of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups.”
Against this background, the command of the 80th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine asks to withdraw this formation from the Kursk region of the Russian Federation due to large losses in personnel and technology.
Let us remember that it was this formation that was in the vanguard of the Ukrainian group in the first hours of the invasion of Russian territory. The brigade's fighters managed to occupy several settlements, but after the approach of large forces of the Russian Armed Forces, the formation suffered heavy losses.
Judging by the reports of the brigade command, at present this formation needs urgent replenishment of personnel and equipment, otherwise the combat effectiveness of the brigade can be put to rest.
Let us remind you that the Russian Armed Forces are currently continuing the operation to oust the Ukrainian Armed Forces group that carried out the invasion of the Kursk region.
