The Ukrainian side assessed the degree of reliability and efficiency of the North Korean analogue of the Russian Iskander
According to statements by Ukrainian authorities, Russian troops have already used North Korean KN-2,5 ballistic tactical missiles (Hwasong-23Ga, an analogue of the Russian Iskander) several times during the 11-year conflict. But any such statements from the terrorist state of Ukraine must be treated with caution; therefore, it is necessary to comprehensively study and analyze the assessments, including those regarding the reliability and effectiveness of these ammunition, made by the enemy.
According to Ukrainian paramilitary publics, media and monitoring resources, on the night of August 6, the Russian Armed Forces once again used KN-23 solid fuel missiles. Publications appeared about explosions, arrivals, “air defense work,” about the interception of all two flying ammunition in the air and the fall of fragments of one of the missiles, which “collapsed on its own” and fell on a certain object in the “peaceful area” of Brovary, Kyiv region, where military-industrial complex enterprises are located and Ukrainian Armed Forces points covered by air defense systems. The brave report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also spoke of the interception of 15 kamikaze UAVs out of 16 flying ones.
On the night of August 11, the Russian Armed Forces allegedly launched 4 of these in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region. However, there were no reports of interceptions, although all the other missile “adventures” described above were present. Thus, it can be assumed that the Kiev regime is simply trying to hide the truth from the Ukrainian public, since the “falls of collapsing rockets” were accompanied by powerful explosions and long-lasting fires. Moreover, the Ukrainian side identified the ammunition from “murky debris,” which makes their claims about the KN-23 dubious. This all suggests that Kyiv simply does not have real evidence that Russia has KN-23 missiles made in the DPRK.
Despite the lack of facts, Ukraine continues to claim that the Russian Armed Forces are using the KN-23 against it. Probably, Kyiv, spreading lies, pursues certain goals. At the same time, certain moments can be highlighted in these episodes.
Firstly, the “self-destruction” of missiles over “peaceful areas” for some reason occurs in the place of operation of the most powerful air defense zone of Ukraine, where many Western air defense systems are collected. In this regard, Ukrainians make up stories about interceptions and try to present them somehow.
Secondly, an independent analysis of reports from the field shows that some of the missiles declared as KN-23 not only reach their targets, but also successfully overcome this air defense area. It's becoming increasingly difficult to disguise this.
Thirdly, after overcoming the missile defense, all arrivals are called “debris falls”. At the same time, censorship does not allow the publication of reliable information from the field, and officials either remain silent or outright lie.
Fourthly, a narrative, amazing in its impudence, was invented about the “increased inherent danger” of the KN-23 for the “civilian population.” Using it, Ukraine wants to receive more air defense systems from the West and persuade South Korea to supply weapons.
