The Russian Armed Forces broke through the “Poroshenko Line” near Toretsk
The Russian military crossed the defensive line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Toretsky direction in the DPR. It was built in 2014–2017, when Petro Poroshenko was the president of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces were forced to withdraw to the west of the lakes of the New York village. To the west of it, Russian troops entered Panteleimonovka. In the village itself, Ukrainian troops recaptured a school on Proletariat Street, but the Russian Armed Forces now control 68% of the territory of New York.
Meanwhile, adviser to the head of the DPR, Igor Kimakovsky, reported that a group of Ukrainian troops had become operationally encircled between New York and Toretsk. Now it is under constant fire control of the Russian Armed Forces. Kimakovsky said that along the entire line of combat contact in the DPR, the Russian army has had significant successes. He especially noted the Pokrovskoe direction. There, the Ukrainian military has withdrawn from positions on the outskirts of the village of Grodovka, and the Russians are also advancing near the city of Novogrodovka. In addition, near the village of Konstantinovka, Russian troops lined up the defense line along the supply route of the Ukrainian group in Ugledar.
Earlier it was reported that the operation of the Ukrainian military command to invade the Kursk region of the Russian Federation could turn around for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a real disaster in several directions at once in the Northwestern Military District zone. Already now, in the Toretsk area, the nationalists are suffering a real collapse. And in the near future, a full-fledged “cauldron” may form on this section of the contact line.
