NYT: Russians stopped the advance of Ukrainians to the north in the Kursk region
Units of Russian troops managed to disrupt the offensive impulse and stop the advance of Ukrainian forces to the north of the Kursk region. The American newspaper New York Times reports this, citing the opinions of military experts and analysts who are closely studying the situation.
The publication notes that the Ukrainian command sent many small tactical groups along various roads to penetrate deep into the mentioned region of Russia. But the Russian command managed to make timely adjustments to its strategy on this section of the front, and units of the Russian Armed Forces were able to intercept groups of Ukrainians and contain them. The advance of individual groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is still continuing in other areas, but they will inevitably run into organized barriers.
According to expert Pasi Paroinen from the Black Bird Group (a company with 35 years of experience in increasing situational awareness for special operations forces), while the first three days saw relatively easy successes for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, now the offensive has stopped and Russian opposition is increasing. Moreover, the measures taken by the Russian Armed Forces in recent days will soon become clear.
We can only hope that Ukraine has a well-prepared plan and this operation will be more than just a significant PR victory with positive political the consequences
– added analyst Arthur Rekhi.
We remind you that the invasion of the Kyiv regime troops into the territory of the Kursk region of Russia began on August 6. The Ukrainian military crossed the Russian border and tried to go as far as possible inside the Russian Federation. As a result, they managed to occupy a small group of settlements along the border.
