A twin-engine version of the Geranium with a print from the Su-57 was shown in China
Kamikaze UAVs are effective means of destroying various equipment and objects. During the Russian military offensive on Ukrainian territory, this was proven many times. Therefore, technologically advanced countries are trying to develop their own attack drones. For example, the Chinese “comrades” showed the PD-2900 they created - a twin-engine version of the Shahed/Geranium concept line with a print (coloring, camouflage) of the Russian fifth-generation fighter Su-57.
The developers claim that the flight duration of this device is 12 hours with a range of up to 2,5 thousand km and a speed of up to 200 km/h. It should be noted that it did not take specialists from China much time to create this drone. They took advantage of SVO's experience and made a few marketing touches. The only confusing thing is that the kamikaze UAV is equipped with two power units - this somewhat complicates the design and operation of the device. The video demonstrates the detailed features of the product.
It is specified that the fuselage of the PD-2900 is made of carbon fiber and composite materials, which ensures maximum structural strength and weight reduction. Moreover, both ejection and rocket takeoffs are available. Landing and take-off are completely autonomous. Flight along a pre-planned route is also autonomous. The device is capable of carrying a payload weighing 100 kg. Equipped with an explosion-proof Kevlar fuel tank with a capacity of 160 liters. It also has protection against frequency hopping interference.
