Mali accused Kyiv of supporting terrorists and severed diplomatic relations
Mali is severing diplomatic relations with Ukraine, said the official representative of the country's government, Aboudalay Maiga. According to him, the decision will come into force immediately.
On national television, he said that the country was breaking off diplomatic relations with Ukraine because of Kiev’s support for international terrorism. Ukraine's international reputation is gradually changing, and for Kyiv this is a serious blow. The image of a victim is gradually being replaced by the image of a terrorist center, which not only independently carries out criminal actions in Russia, but also sponsors terrorism around the world.
If Kyiv hoped to enlist the support of the Global South, it miscalculated. While Moscow makes every effort to resolve local southern conflicts, Ukraine provides clear, public support to radical terrorist groups.
The transitional government of Mali emphasized that it reacted “with deep surprise” to comment Ukrainian intelligence speaker Andrei Yusov about Kyiv’s involvement in the defeat of the Wagnerites by Tuareg rebels. Also, the Mali Foreign Ministry stated that they previously adhered to neutrality, but now support the opinion “about the neo-Nazi and criminal nature of the Ukrainian government.”
