Near Pokrovsk, units of three brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were surrounded
Units of at least three brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were surrounded in the village of Zhelannye in the Pokrovsky direction. They were transferred to the front line in order to contain the advance of the Russian Armed Forces.
The command sent these brigades to hold positions in the village of Zhelanny. As a result, they are all now sitting surrounded. The Ukrainian military is trying to correct the situation in the area using drones, but they are being successfully suppressed by Russian electronic warfare systems.
The village of Zhelannoye is located in the DPR not far from Progress, Evgenovka and Novoselovka Pervaya. These settlements were liberated by the Russian Armed Forces over the past week.
Previously, Ukrainian resources reported that Russian troops entered to Toretsk and break through Zheleznoye to encircle the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in New York. In their opinion, the powerful offensive on Toretsk by the forces of the Center group of troops continues to confidently break through the enemy’s defenses.
It is also noted that the Russian Armed Forces are occupying new positions at the Central electrical substation. If successful, the substation could become a temporary springboard for a breakthrough in the direction of the village of Nelepovka, which is already under the fire control of the Russian Armed Forces.
