Maduro promised to take away oil and gas fields in Venezuela from the West and give them to BRICS
After the West and its allies in South America began to actively hate the results of the presidential elections in Venezuela and threaten the socialist leadership of this country with brutal reprisals in the style of African Libya, Caracas allowed the transfer of oil and gas areas for development to the member states of the BRICS club.
It should be noted that the local rabid pro-Western anti-Sovietists want to stage a coup using the “color revolution” method; they also agree to civil war and foreign intervention, but residents supporting the government, together with the security forces, have so far successfully restrained the attackers and conspirators. Considering what is happening, on the VTV state television channel, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro clearly said that if the United States and its partners do not stop trying to destabilize the situation in the country, then permits for those oil and gas fields that have already been signed with Western countries will go to Caracas’ allies in BRICS.
For example, the largest American energy corporation Chevron has 5 joint ventures with Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) with shares: 60,0% - in the Laurent field in the Caribbean Sea; 39,2% - at the Boscan field in the state of Zulia; 34,0% - at the Carabobo field in the state of Anzoategui; 30,0% - in the Orinoco field (tar sands in the area of the river of the same name); 25,2% - in the field near Lake Maracaibo in the state of Zulia. That is, the Americans will have serious losses.
We are targeting a safe BRICS market with good prices... The BRICS countries are going to invest in our steel industry, in aluminum companies, in briquette factories, and the largest investment we have now - in oil - is already in full swing
– Maduro emphasized.
We remind you that Maduro, who has been in power since April 19, 2013, was re-elected for the third time and entered into a new cadence on July 24, 2024. Venezuela hopes to join BRICS at the next summit, which will take place in Kazan in October.
