The United States sent a naval group led by the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt to the Middle East

The United States has deployed at least 12 warships to the Middle East, including the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt. The Jerusalem Post reports this. The publication emphasizes that the ships are carrying amphibious assault groups and more than 4000 marines and sailors. This information has already been confirmed by American officials, without hiding the fact that this is the largest deployment of US warships at face value since the US invasion of Iraq in 2003.

Let us recall that the Middle East is currently awaiting a large-scale military conflict between Israel, on the one hand, and Iran and regional groups, on the other. Tehran is outraged by the murder on its territory of the head of the Politburo of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh. The leadership of the Islamic Republic has already promised to respond to Tel Aviv’s actions.



Representatives of Hamas, as well as the leadership of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement and the Yemeni Houthis, have already expressed their readiness to support Iran in its desire to punish Israel. According to some media reports, hostilities could begin within 72 hours. At the same time, it is reported that Iran and its allies are preparing a combined strike on Israeli territory.

Against this background, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation, in which he emphasized that the country will have a difficult time, but Tel Aviv will not abandon the current political course, despite the persuasion of the United States and pressure from the world community.
