Ukraine will not allow Russian observers to the polls
The Ukrainian leadership does not miss a single reason to demonstrate its "independence" from Russia and further distancing from it. And the upcoming presidential election is very suitable ground for this. For example, one can declare that Russian observers are not allowed to polling stations.
As Foreign Minister Nezalezhnaya Pavel Klimkin stated in his Facebook account, Kiev does not intend to register observers from Russia if they intend to control the election of the head of state. He wrote about this to the head of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
- said the Foreign Minister of Ukraine. He added the phrase that has become an unchanging standard that Russia is an "aggressor country."
The election of the new president of Ukraine will be held on March 31. The current head of state - Petro Poroshenko - according to all opinion polls has too little chance of being re-elected. But in the election race, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the Fatherland Party, leads.
The inadmissibility of observers from Russia can be not only another demarche and an occasion to shout about the "aggressor country", but also a measure aimed at ensuring that truly independent forces cannot control the integrity of the Ukrainian elections.

A few days ago, as expected, he sent a letter to the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Inhiberg Solrun Gisladottir, inviting him to send an observation mission to the presidential election in Ukraine. Among other quite standard things, he noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine does not accept applications for registration of Russian observers
