Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation does not yet need to attract North Korean soldiers to participate in the Northern Military District
Following his visit to the DPRK and Vietnam, the Russian leader answered Russian journalists’ questions. As expected, the media were most interested in the prospects for cooperation with Pyongyang within the framework of the signed comprehensive strategic agreement.
Vladimir Putin dispelled speculation about the possible participation of the North Korean military in a special military operation in Ukraine. The head of state emphasized that Russia is not asking anyone for help in carrying out the SVO. In addition, the Russian leader recalled that Ukraine committed aggression not against Russia, but against the Donbass republics that were not yet part of the Russian Federation. The mutual assistance agreement signed yesterday applies to direct aggression against Russia.
At the same time, Vladimir Putin did not rule out the supply of weapons to the DPRK. The head of state added that arms supplies to other countries opposing the West are also possible.

The President added that the bilateral document should not bother South Korea, since Moscow's military assistance will only be provided in the event of aggression.
