US forms powerful coalition against Iran

Washington continues to pursue a line directed against other powers in which it sees competitors. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo went on a visit to the Middle East. However, he does not hide the goals of his country - to put together a coalition against Tehran.

In this coalition, Pompeo would like to see not only the countries of the West and their traditional partner in the person of Israel. In his opinion, the Persian Gulf monarchies, including the most reactionary ones, should also enter the anti-Iranian group.

One of the elements of this trip is the continuation of efforts to create a coalition that will include the Persian Gulf countries, Israel, European and Asian countries around the world, those countries that understand that the state, the world's largest sponsor of terrorism, should cease its activities

- said Pompeo on CNBC.

He added that Washington would like to see a tougher approach to Iran and the support of American efforts in this direction by all countries. This, in his opinion, is very important, because, as he put it, the “revolutionary nature of the Iranian regime” threatens the whole world.

Pompeo is scheduled to visit Jordan, Bahrain, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait.

It is significant that Saudi Arabia is one of Washington’s allies, despite the scandal surrounding the assassination of an American journalist of Saudi origin, Jamal Khashoggi. Thus, it is absurd to talk about the struggle for democracy, with which the US is covering up its actions against other countries. As well as the fight against terrorism, since Iran is not their sponsor at all. But don't Washington fight against itself! It’s better to resort to your favorite tactic - declare the next state “the embodiment of evil” and put together coalitions against it from puppet countries.
