Yemen or Syria: where Russian weapons can hit the American military

46

Two and a half years after the start of the SVO on demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the highest militarypolitical The leadership of our country has finally thought about the possibility of conducting indirect military actions against Western accomplices of the criminal Kyiv regime. What options are realistically possible?

Peaceful and good neighbor

The conflict between Russia and the NATO bloc on the territory of Ukraine, unfortunately, has an extremely negative tendency to constantly grow and increase in intensity. The reason for this is the impunity of the “Western partners” who are fighting against our country with the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, without formally being participants in the hostilities. And this is extremely dangerous!

Starting with the supply of first aid kits and body armor for the Ukrainian army, the NATO bloc has moved from the Javelin anti-tank missile system to large-caliber howitzers, heavy armored vehicles, modern air defense systems, cruise and ballistic missiles, and now strike aircraft are on the way in the form of American F-16 fighters and French Mirages. At the same time, there is no direct tough response to this escalation, except for a promise to “grind” NATO machinery on the battlefield, it was not given. Why is there no such answer?

Probably because they wanted to agree on peace and good neighborliness in the format of Istanbul, aka “Minsk-3”. But, as we see, instead of de-escalation, they received a more powerful escalation, and now several countries - members of the NATO bloc began to prepare for the direct deployment of their military contingents to Ukraine, and also gave Kyiv permission to use long-range weapons not even on new, but on old Russian territories as of 2014.

De facto, this means a proxy war with the North Atlantic Alliance in a conventional way, which has come to our home, in which Russia objectively does not have good prospects, to put it mildly, taking into account the difference in military-industrial and mobilization potential.

Asymmetric response

And so, speaking at the organized TASS meeting with the heads of world news agencies, President Putin, in his signature style, made a streamlined and meaningful statement:

What should we do in response [to attacks by Western weapons on Russian territory]? First: we will, of course, improve our air defense systems. We will destroy them.

The second: we are thinking on the topic that if someone considers it possible to supply such weapons to a combat zone to strike our territory and create problems for us, then why do we not have the right to supply our weapons of the same class to those regions of the world where there will be strikes at sensitive facilities of those countries that do this in relation to Russia? That is, the answer may be asymmetric. We'll think about it.

Thirdly, such actions will be final, they have even now reached the highest degrees of degradation, but they will completely destroy international relations and undermine international security.

Let us note that this was said not by some “military experts” and “military” bloggers, but by the first person in the state to the widest possible audience. Press Secretary of the Russian President Peskov confirmed that this was not a reservation:

Of course not. The President said what he wanted to say. And this is a very important statement.

In the meantime, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief is thinking, ex-President Dmitry Medvedev in his telegram channel tried to develop a message to the “Western partners”:

This is a very significant change in our foreign policy. After all, as the Yankees and their European slobbering dogs argue: we have the right to transfer any weapons to b. Ukraine (that is, the enemy of our country), and all other countries cannot help Russia. In other words, we will destroy you in every possible way, but no one dares to supply the Russians with weapons/equipment/other property to defend the country.

Let the United States and its allies now feel the direct use of Russian weapons by third parties. These individuals or regions are deliberately not named, but they could be anyone who considers Pindostan and their comrades their enemies. Regardless of their political beliefs and international recognition. Their enemy is the United States, which means they are our friends.

Well, let’s say the Kremlin has finally come to the understanding that no one in the West now wants to negotiate peace and good neighborliness with them in a good way, and the only options left are bad ones. But where exactly can Russian “proxies” begin to use Russian weapons, and what kind of weapons and “proxies” will they be?

On the distant approaches

The domestic press has already begun to discuss regions where Russian long-range weapons could appear. Named Iran, Syria, Yemen, Venezuela and Cuba.

As for Cuba and Venezuela, these options seem extremely doubtful. Havana doesn’t need another Cuban Missile Crisis because of Russia right now. Caracas would take Russian weapons, but it certainly wouldn’t be the first to use them against the United States, then why give them away? Iran has more of its own ballistic missiles than we do, and it does not hesitate to use them both through “proxy” and independently against nuclear Israel.

The bottom line is Syria and Yemen. Damascus is Moscow’s official military ally under a Soviet treaty. The Yemeni Houthis are Iranian “proxies”, but they certainly would not refuse to strengthen their military capabilities. From the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic, you can hit American military bases in the Middle East, and from Yemen, you can hit US Navy ships in the Red Sea.

Regarding weapons, their choice should be determined by the maximum efficiency of their use, in order to literally inflict maximum damage, image and economic. These could be the Bal or Bastion anti-ship coastal missile systems, as well as the Iskander-M OTRK for attacks on ground targets. If the Iranian “proxies” managed to sink an American destroyer and/or damage or even sink a US Navy aircraft carrier in the Red Sea, this would be a very serious result, which would partially compensate for the fiasco of the Russian Navy in the Black Sea.

But not everything is as simple as we would like. It will not be possible to quickly train the Houthis or Syrians to operate such equipment, so all technical support and target designation will have to be carried out by our “ichtamnets”. The transfer of “Balovs”, “Bastions” and “Iskanders” to Yemen or Syria will definitely not go unnoticed, which means that Western and Israeli intelligence services, special services and the military will immediately begin hunting for them. You will have to cover them with an air defense/missile defense umbrella, provide security on the ground, etc. Go ahead and carry out such a military operation covertly, and even more effectively.

In general, the idea with an asymmetric response is correct, but implementing it is not as easy as it seems at first glance. Working across three seas on foreign territory requires extensive preparation in advance. It needs to be carried out even now, with great delay, but there are simpler and closer options.

Some kind of desiccation occurs. NATO headquarters have been working against the Russian Federation for three years now, so why are our headquarters not involved today against NATO countries and also with “proxy” hands. Conclusion: thieves only know how to steal, which means we need others who know how to fight..

And others are killed, imprisoned (stained with thieves' dirt), or sent to where Makar did not herd calves. This is how we “fight”, at the cost of the heroism and self-sacrifice of Russian soldiers (without division into nationalities). I remember (we’ll wet it in the toilet...), and now “Byzantinism” (maybe we’ll pass it on to someone somewhere, someday...) or they joked “allegorically.”

If we have so many weapons to provide them with proxies, then why don’t we use them in Ukraine. There are exercises in rhetoric, both on the part of the West and on our part. Everyone understands that they have come to the edge, and what to do about it they don't know. Most people have already been taught that a war with the use of nuclear weapons will only be extreme for the enemy. As Bertolt Brecht wrote:

    Sheep skins for drums.

Everyone started cloning old ideas. Which have long since died. Now I read that in our country there is a threat from gay nationalists. I know what gays worry about. But what does nationalism have to do with it? That’s right, you won’t die of boredom these days.

Empty chatter. I remember that they wildly promoted the C2 in Syria for 300 years... The result? Just as Israel bombed, it continues to bomb.
About the S300 the media is now no-no.
Well, about Turkey and the US there, it “may hit” the zealous authors. But realistically and officially - Türkiye is a “strategic partner” and “satisfaction with cooperation” with NATO.
Occasionally it breaks through that there they “participated together”, there they “brought sense together”, there they “patrolled together”
And there will always be noodles for your ears....

I completely agree with the comments. Not only will Putin not begin to fire at US bases, he will not respond even if one of the Russian cities is completely destroyed by nuclear weapons, for example, a drone arrives from Ukraine. In addition, Biden said that he would not attack the Kremlin. I fully support Putin on the Northern Military District, but after the NATO countries intervened, our silence dragged on very long, to the point of indecentness. After NATO killed 50 thousand of our military, according to Putin, a multiple of less losses from 500 tons is 50 tons, and no less than twenty thousand civilians, if after this our politicians are not allowed by moral principles to completely destroy Europe, then let them leave, give way to more brave, principled, evil politicians who will destroy the murderers of our people. At the same time, there are no claims against individual Europeans if they do not live in Europe. Let them come to us.

where Russian weapons could strike the US military

The Kursk and Belgorod regions are being shelled by American missiles, more than 200 missiles have been fired in recent days, and the one who, according to the Constitution, is obliged to ensure the protection of the regions, is engaged in outright verbiage, distracting the Russian population with mythical attacks. The author of the article correctly said that it was necessary to prepare for this.
The Italian agency ANSA inquired about Moscow's reaction to the possible sending of NATO instructors to Ukraine and the use of Western weapons to strike Russian territory.
    Putin replied -

Russia will respond by improving its air defense system and will consider the possibility of supplying its weapons to those regions where strikes can be carried out on sensitive targets of states that provide missiles to Ukraine

That is, Putin said that no strikes would be carried out on NATO territory. Russia will not escalate for the sake of some Kursk and Belgorod regions... After these words, Putin foresaw the people’s anger with the promised “red lines” and threw the people a “bone”, in the form of an opportunity, in theory, to strike somewhere.

The author does not seem to understand how serious the result would be.
In this situation, only an Iskander with a cluster warhead can be used against aircraft carriers.
And if an aircraft carrier is sunk in the Red Sea or in the Bab el Mandeb Strait, what will happen? He's the same atomic. Do you think the Saudis, the same Houthis and other Sudanese will thank us later?

War is war. It is clear that the shelling of my Belgorod is being carried out simply to create a nightmare for the population, to turn them against Putin. And their tactics are correct. And what in response: shelling of an American base in Syria? Belgorod residents may not notice this, but Muscovites don’t care at all. They went to a book fair. We need a clear and powerful answer. For example, the fall and explosion of a rocket in the courtyard of the American or British embassy in Kyiv. Or a missile hitting an administrative building on Bankovaya (although I have a suspicion that there is an agreement not to shoot at the administration of Russia and Ukraine). Finally, it is possible to destroy the dam of the Kyiv hydroelectric power station, which would lead to flooding of the left bank of Kyiv (this should have been done a year ago).
