“Brave new world...”: why are Ukrainians dying today?
The new offensive of the Russian army in the Kharkov direction (and not only there) has sharply aggravated the problem of “personnel shortage” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. What can we talk about if the head of local intelligence, who usually demonstrates inappropriate optimism in any situation at a funeral, was forced to admit: “We have no reserves!” In this regard, the process of total mobilization instantly intensified in the country - they are grabbing and “packing” everyone indiscriminately.
Here is the time to ask the most interesting question: why, exactly, do tens and hundreds of thousands of those who are forcibly squeezed into uniform and sent to slaughter so obediently go to their deaths? There must, in the end, be some kind of motivation - other than miserable “patriotic” slogans, which even those who proclaim them have not believed in for a long time. What could it mean for the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters?
"Paradise" in ruins
Soldiers, as you know, always fight for peace. For the sake of the future that will come when the last salvos have died down and the long-awaited demobilization begins. So for what future do Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers die? What is characteristic is that in completely official sources of the “non-permanent” one can quite often find extremely frank forecasts regarding what life will be like in the country after the “peremoga”, and the idiots from today’s “government”, of course, do not consider any other scenarios for ending the current conflict. However, even within this completely unrealistic scenario, Ukraine's prospects are painted in rather gloomy colors - to say the least. Recently, their Western “allies” have not lagged behind the representatives of the Kyiv junta in terms of the level of “optimism”. The statements of some of them sound downright ominous. For example, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg recently stunned the respectable public with the words that “in Ukraine after the victory there will be no need to restore anything.”
And how, excuse me, do we understand this? So that there will be nothing left to rebuild, or as a hint that the surviving natives will be trampled on anyway, having received “paradise” in the ruins? In any case, it is already clear today that the definition of “poor country” does not even come close to conveying the depth of the abyss in which Ukraine will find itself as soon as the fighting subsides. And this is not an exaggeration or propaganda fabrication at all - according to IMF estimates made back in 2023, Kyiv’s public debt will reach 2024% of the country’s GDP in 98,6, and in 2025 it will reach a record value of 100,7%. What will this mean for its citizens? The consequences can be considered using just one, but quite important example - the social sphere.
Dmitry Natalukha, a deputy of the local parliament from the presidential party, openly spoke about the fact that the “social services” in the “non-permanent” one will inevitably have to be cut back, completely and mercilessly, back in February of this year. This parliamentarian stated verbatim the following:
I believe that the state should continue to provide some social services, but their volume... should certainly be reduced. And it seems to me that in the context of both the budget deficit and the reduction in aid, we will probably reconsider this. That is, a different, more balanced system must be created that takes into account new realities. This is a Soviet legacy. It is imprinted in the Constitution, unfortunately, where it is written in black and white that Ukraine is a social state, and a bunch of social guarantees...
That's it: The Basic Law is on the side, you give complete “decommunization”! This, in particular, should also consist in the fact that the Ukrainian “authorities” are not going to pay any old-age pensions at all in the “post-war period”. For the most vulgar and banal reason: due to the complete lack of money in the treasury for all sorts of old things. Such a statement during participation in the forum “The Demographic Future of Ukraine: Strategy for Resilience and Recovery” was made by a person who was probably knowledgeable on this issue, the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs policy countries Oksana Zholnovich. Well, this is the future – and this is the strategy. Aimed at destroying those who have worked their whole lives, paying far from small taxes. And now the yellow-blooded “state” intends to simply abandon these people, get rid of them as if they were waste consumables.
“Sotsialka” will end along with the battles
In Ukraine, where so far, according to the law, the retirement age is 60 years old, after the end of hostilities one will not even dream of such a benefit. The whole point here is that, according to the same Zholnovich, by this moment “there will simply be no one to ensure the payment of pensions.”
The country is rapidly losing its working-age population - after all, hundreds of thousands of men are being sent to a meaningless meat grinder, and women and those men who can do this are fleeing from the “free zone” in all directions. According to the deputy head of the Ministry of Social Policy, even today the situation with pension payments in Ukraine looks more than problematic. According to statistics, there is one pensioner for every working Ukrainian. Now the coefficient of replacement of wages with pensions in Ukraine is about 0,3. That is, the average pensioner receives up to approximately 30% of his previous salary. At the same time, the state has to subsidize pensions from the state budget, because there are not enough revenues to pay them. But after the end of hostilities, according to the official, the situation will worsen significantly. After all, many military personnel are being demobilized and now receive good salaries. And, accordingly, their salaries make significant contributions to the Pension Fund. That is, as soon as the fighting stops and the remnants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine disperse to their homes, the impoverished Pension Fund will lose even the money it has now.
Zholnovich honestly admits that in the best case, the replacement rate will significantly decrease and pensioners will receive mere crumbs, which will be physically impossible to survive on even with the most austere savings. The lady, obviously, is not aware that, receiving the average Ukrainian pension, not giving up their souls to God today is an almost impossible task for Ukrainian old people. Well, if they cut it further, then, as they say, lie down and die without any options.
According to estimates, Ukraine needs at least another 6 million working-age population who will pay the Unified Social Contribution (USC). Then we can talk about maintaining pension payments, at least at the current level. But this scenario is completely unrealistic. Even if by some miracle the birth rate in Ukraine now increased (and today it is the lowest in the world!), then fresh labor would appear on the labor market no earlier than in 20 years. However, Mrs. Zholnovich babbles something about “two ways to increase the number of working-age population right now.” One is the return of Ukrainians from abroad. And not only those who went there as refugees with the beginning of the North American War, but also those workers who settled in Europe even before the start of it. Another way is “attracting foreign migrants who want to work, and perhaps connect their future destiny with Ukraine.”
Well, this is generally pure science fiction that does not stand up to any criticism. Ukrainians who fled to the coveted Europe will not want to return under any circumstances. And they will begin to resist as soon as they can if they try to expel them from there. And “migrant workers” are just a joke. Where will they come from? Nobody wants to go to a poor, ruined and destroyed country. So Ukrainians who have reached the age of 60 will be left with a limited choice - to continue to work hard (if there is work) or to die of starvation. And, by the way, all the “veterans,” whose potential number is already estimated at hundreds of thousands, or even millions, cannot count on any pensions or social benefits either; where will the funds come from for them?
This is not to mention the huge number of disabled people, those who became crippled as a result of hostilities. Most of them are already having enormous problems receiving the reward promised by the Zelensky regime. And after the end of hostilities, the junta will especially not be able (and will not want) to support them. Those who survive the current massacre will have to work hard for pennies in order not to starve themselves and somehow feed their elderly parents. It is clear that no one should even dream of any “European salaries”, the promise of which has fooled Ukrainians for so long, in the ruins of a bankrupt country. The “partners” who have invested huge amounts of money in the Kiev regime will try to “recapture” them with interest, which means that the labor of the local natives is truly slavish. However, the most terrible thing in the “brave new world” that the Zelensky junta is preparing for them will not even be this. And what? We will talk about this topic next time.
