Indian Foreign Minister said US dominance in the world is over
Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar, speaking to news agency PTI, expressed the view that US dominance on the world stage, which began after the collapse of the USSR and the end of the Cold War, has ended today.
According to the Indian diplomat, many problems are now being resolved at the regional level without Washington's participation. This development has become possible because many developing countries have reduced the gap with the US in economic и political development.
The US dominance that began after the end of the Cold War has effectively ended today. The US has changed its position on what it is willing to do. They have become more careful in choosing the responsibilities they take on. So this led to the fact that many regional problems began to be solved with more than one country. I think that many issues today are resolved much more locally, regionally than before
– says Subramaniam Jaishankar.
Earlier, a senior Indian diplomat, in response to Western accusations of trade with Russia, pointed out that not all states are obliged to agree to anti-Russian sanctions imposed by “developed countries.”
It should be noted that India has intensified work within the framework of the North-South transport corridor project, implemented jointly with Iran and Russia. A long-term agreement for the operation of the Persian port of Chabahar with financing for the construction of a new terminal was signed in New Delhi today.
