Former US Ambassador to Ukraine, Atlantic Council Director John Herbst in an interview «Radio Svoboda» stated that the issue of introducing new sanctions against Russia and the provision of weapons to Kiev could be resolved in the next few months:
According to Herbst, the new sanctions against Russia may include both restrictive measures against a large Russian bank and a ban for Russian vessels to enter US ports.
Regarding military assistance to the Kiev regime, then, according to the director of the Atlantic Council, we can talk about anti-ship missiles, patrol ships and other military equipment.
Herbst does not rule out that in the US Congress the support of the Kiev authorities will not only not weaken, but will also increase.
Recall that after a provocation in the Kerch Strait, Washington decided to allocate assistance to Kiev in the amount of $ 10 million, which will be used to pay for the delivery of decommissioned US Navy boats of the Island class from the United States to Ukraine.
For several years, the Ukrainian authorities have not been able to find the means to transport these boats.
