Kiev grants forgiveness to Donbass and Crimea
An interesting legislative initiative was noted in the Ukrainian capital by former deputy Andrei Senchenko. The bill “On forgiveness” invites all citizens of Ukraine who have conducted any activity in the country in favor of the Russian Federation to repent, admit their guilt and ask the Independent forgiveness for their sins before it.

The bill can only apply to those residents of Ukraine who, by the will of fate, ended up in the territory of the rebelled Donbass and the “sailing off” Crimea. Here, Mr. Senchenko shows understanding to this category of fellow citizens who, being cut off by the newly formed border, were influenced by the propaganda of a hostile state, by which in Kiev they mean Russia.
Repentant residents of Donbass and the Crimean peninsula should certainly appeal to a Ukrainian court with a corresponding appeal with a plea for generous forgiveness. “Forgiven” by Ukraine, they will only be defeated in their civil rights, they will be denied access to any elections and to work in the authorities of the Independent Square. Senchenko threatens inevitable punishment to all the other spiteful Ukrainians who, to the best of their modest capabilities, confronted it in territories “free” from Russia, since they cannot be forgiven.
Time will tell whether this bill is a step towards the return of Donbass to the bosom of Independence or is it political folly on the part of the former Ukrainian "people's choice".
