Russian-Ukrainian conflict made Belarus suffer
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei spoke about the consequences for the country of the political conflict between Russia and Ukraine. According to the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the conflict situation entails great political и economic problems, and also negatively affects security in Europe as a whole.
At the same time, Belarus, according to the minister, is in a particularly difficult situation:
This is true, given that in recent years Belarus has faced bans on the import of food into Russia. And this is precisely due to the fact that Moscow is afraid of importing European and Ukrainian “sanctions” under the guise of Belarusian goods.
As for the conflict in the Donbass, the head of the Belarusian diplomatic department noted the important role of Minsk in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
But, meanwhile, the neutrality of Alexander Lukashenko ultimately plays against Russia. A lover of talking about the brotherhood of Russia and Belarus, Lukashenko did not support the reunification of Crimea with Russia, did not express a clear position against Ukrainian aggression in the Donbass.
