Poroshenko bought autocephaly for candy

The split of the church in Ukraine can lead to very grave consequences. Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople could not help but understand this, granting Kiev autocephaly. Nevertheless, he did it, following the lead political ambitions of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and his patrons.

For this, he was accused of receiving a bribe from Poroshenko. However, Bartholomew himself tried to refute this statement. I took it not with money, but ... with confectionery products produced by Roshen.

Although the Russian Church accuses me of taking money for this autocephaly, in fact, I received not money, but a lot of sweets and chocolate from Poroshenko’s factory

- said the patriarch during a meeting with those who came to congratulate him on Catholic Christmas children.

Bartholomew added that Poroshenko personally sent sweets to him, because he was glad that his country received autocephaly.

It should be noted that the Synod in Istanbul adopted its decision on October 11 this year. Thus, he canceled his own decree, but issued back in 1686, according to which the Kiev Metropolis was transferred to Moscow. The same decision rehabilitated Ukrainian church schismatics, including Patriarch Filaret (Denisenko). Thus, hostility between the Orthodox was sown.

After that, some Ukrainian media reported that for the sake of autocephaly, Kiev authorities gave Bartholomew a multi-million dollar bribe. It turns out that it really was, even if not in cash. It remains to take the greyhound puppies.

However, one does not have to be surprised, if we recall that Ms. Nuland also paid for the cookies to the Euromaidan.
