Belarus has a negative attitude to the idea of deploying an American military base in Poland. According to the head of the country's defense department Andrei Ravkov, this base can become a source of military threat for the Republic.

Minsk, according to him, takes the statements of Poland in this regard very seriously. The creation of an American base will lead to further growth of tension along the line of "West - East."

As for Belarus, any deployment of foreign troops in adjacent territories is somehow perceived as a source of military threat to our state, that is, it is a factor or a combination of factors that under certain conditions can lead to an increase in military danger to the level of a military threat, like this defined in the military doctrine of the Republic of Belarus

- quoted by Ravkov RIA News.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko previously advised the Polish Foreign Minister not to create “extra” bases. Otherwise, he noted, both Minsk and Moscow will have to take retaliatory measures. They opposed this base in the Russian Foreign Ministry.

It should be noted that Warsaw offers Washington to deploy an American tank division on its own territory. The Polish side is ready to take on expenses. The head of state, Andrzej Duda, came up with the name for the new base - Fort Trump (“Fort Trump”).
