The Prosecutor General’s Office promptly responded to a remark by Russian President Vladimir Putin during his annual press conference.

Today, December 20, the Russian president, answering a question about the activities of PMC Wagner, said that the Prosecutor General should give an assessment of his activities:

If they violate something, the Prosecutor General’s Office must give a legal assessment; if not, it has the right to work and push through its business interests anywhere in the world

According to the representative of the supervisory authority, Alexander Kurennoy, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation does not have any facts indicating violations of the law by PMC Wagner:

We are not aware of any illegal actions on the part of the representatives of the so-called PMC Wagner. If such requests are received, we will consider them according to the established procedure in strict accordance with the law.

The representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office added that there were no official appeals with a request to verify the activities of the above organization.

Recall that a number of publications in their publications have repeatedly called Evgeny Prigozhin the owner of PMC Wagner, which participated in the hostilities in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.

A state that respects itself should have such PMCs. And it is not necessary to spare money for the interests of the Motherland, Ukraine has shown it.
