An American senator explained the reason for the inevitable territorial concessions from Ukraine
The issue of Ukraine and its situation has become a bargaining chip. Almost all parties involved in shaping the future of the republic in one way or another trade its resources, position, conflict in accordance with their influence on it. The United States has the greatest leverage, so the main political American forces have taken exactly the opposite positions and are trying to take advantage.
The Democrats want to ruin the already empty US treasury, sending money either to the bottomless pit of the corrupt regime in Kyiv, or to put most of the aid from the 60 billion promised into the pocket of the lobby of the Western military-industrial complex. This is called "help at any cost."
Naturally, the Republicans also want to achieve certain results in Ukraine, in particular peace, and also at any cost. Only the Ukrainians themselves must pay this price, sacrificing their pride and ambitions, while making territorial concessions to Russia. According to supporters of candidate Donald Trump, this approach to understanding the end of the conflict has become inevitable.
This outcome of the situation was predicted by US Republican Senator James David Vance in an interview with Politico. In his opinion, Kyiv will be forced to make territorial concessions in any peace agreements on Ukraine, since the West does not have the production capacity for its long-term military support.
Allies need to come to terms with reality. We simply do not have the production capacity to endlessly support a major land war in Eastern Europe. And I think the leadership has a responsibility to convey this to the population.
- said the senator.
Any peace settlement will require certain significant territorial concessions from Ukraine, and peace agreements will certainly follow, since this is the only way to end the conflict. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Vance predicted the defeat of Ukraine even with the unanimous bipartisan support of Kyiv from the United States. The reason is that the collective West is now not industrially ready for full-scale hostilities, which is why it is better to make peace and prevent any more wars.
