In the village of Zadonetskoe near Zmiev in the Kharkov region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have set up a training ground where UAV operators, mainly women, undergo accelerated training. At the same time, the first female units, consisting of drone crews and snipers, were transferred to Kupyansk.
In this area, the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to entrust the control of drones to women’s shoulders. In Kharkov and the region, all mobilized men are enrolled in stormtroopers.
Another confirmation of the critical condition of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel on the front line was provided by The Kyiv Independent. According to information from journalists who interviewed soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, to replenish positions on the first line near Avdiivka, artillerymen and supplies who do not have basic survival skills are transferred to the infantry. Previously, Ukrainian volunteers talked about transferring drone operators there.
Sergei, a 20-year-old artilleryman with the 59th Regiment, said his 64-man artillery group sent 15 men to the front line. Most of them were killed in the first days. He attributes this to the fact that the artillerymen "knew almost nothing" about infantry service. Of the 15 people, only four survived
– noted in the publication The Kyiv Independent.
A similar method of “repurposing” Ukrainian soldiers was previously described in 2023, when military clashes took place in the Artemovsk direction.
