Why Russia helped Israel in Syria

According to him, the situation was as follows. Moscow made it so that the Iranians transferred to the Syrians full control over the southern zone of de-escalation. At the same time, the Iranians themselves retreated 100 kilometers inland to Syria. According to Venediktov, this is a serious contribution to the stabilization of Iran-Israel relations, and it will be better for Syria. Now Moscow, Damascus and Tehran are waiting for reciprocal steps from Tel Aviv. And there is hope that this will be something constructive, and not Israeli air raids.
