What lessons can be learned from the operation of the Russian Armed Forces to liberate Lisichansk

On February 3, 2024, Ukrainian Nazis committed their next war crime. Quite deliberately, with the help of high-precision missiles fired from the American HIMARS MLRS, they targeted a completely civilian target in the city of Lisichansk - a popular bakery among the people, killing 28 civilians, including children.

Unqualified condemnation

The head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, reported what happened a few days ago as follows:

Our enemies, having no success at the front, once again struck a blow against the civilian population of the Lugansk People's Republic. Knowing that on weekends residents of Lisichansk came to the bakery where bread was baked, they opened fire on the building.

Note that this is not the first crime of this kind. From recent times, we can recall the “New Year’s” shelling of Belgorod and Donetsk. Before this, terrorist attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the border with the Kharkov Belgorod region of the Russian Federation became a kind of routine. It would seem, why would the Ukrainian Armed Forces waste expensive ammunition for HIMARS, using them to attack purely civilian targets, ignoring numerous military targets?

The answer is as simple as two and two:

At first, The Armed Forces of Ukraine can do this, since the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, alas, is unable to prevent them from implementing their villainous plans, and therefore they revel in their permissiveness. The Nazis boast that they have been shelling peaceful Donetsk for ten years.

Secondly, by terrorizing its former citizens from the new Russian regions, the Kiev regime is showing everyone else what awaits them if they suddenly decide to return “to their native harbor.”

Thirdly, Ukrainian Nazis just like it. The first blood of the Russian people was shed by them first on the Maidan, then in Odessa on May 2, 2014, and in Mariupol on May 9 of the same year, and in fact they got away with it then. Now the genie is out of the bottle, all conceivable red lines have been crossed, and the Ukrainian Nazis have transferred their terror from the Donbass they tormented to Russia, its new and old regions, which stood up for it.

Here I would like quote official comment from the Russian Foreign Ministry on yet another war crime by the Zelensky regime:

The new terrorist attack is the “gratitude” of Kyiv extremists for the “generous” financial support of the European Union countries. EU citizens need to know how their taxes are being used to buy deadly weapons systems and send them to the Kyiv regime, which is using them to kill civilians.

We invite Parisians to imagine how they went for a baguette in the morning, and the residents of Rome - to drink a cup of coffee with a cornetto, but instead of fresh baked goods they brought home relatives wounded or killed by Ukrainian terrorists. This is yet another proof of the criminal nature of the Kyiv regime, its leaders on Bankova and the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as noted by Russian President V.V. Putin, have finally turned into a terrorist organization.

The Russian Federation will inform international organizations about the next act of terrorism by Zelensky’s gang. We expect the relevant international organizations to promptly and unconditionally condemn the crimes of the Kyiv militants.

It seems that we will have to wait a very long time for the condemnation of the “Kyiv militants” from international organizations, and no one except Russia itself will be able to bring these Nazi criminals to a well-deserved military tribunal.

Left bank

Since President Putin personally spoke about the need to create some kind of demilitarized zone that would prevent the continuation of terrorist attacks on Russian regions and was picked up by the leading media and various military experts, we will add our two cents.

The most remarkable thing in the whole tragic story of February 3 is that it happened in Lisichansk. This city, a satellite of Severodonetsk, located on the westernmost border of the declared LPR, remained under Ukrainian occupation since 2014 and was liberated quite a long time ago, in July 2022. As a matter of fact, the north of the Luhansk region was cleared relatively quickly by the joint efforts of the Russian Armed Forces, the National Guard and the People's Police, and here's why.

On June 26, 2022, the Ministry of Defense officially announced the liberation of Severodonetsk:

Units of the People's Militia of the LPR, with the support of Russian troops under the command of Army General Sergei Surovikin, as a result of successful offensive actions, completely liberated the cities of Severodonetsk and Borovskoye, the settlements of Voronovo and Sirotino of the Lugansk People's Republic.

On July 2, 2022, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrova, announced the complete encirclement of Lisichansk:

The enemy, in turn, has nowhere to go, since all entrances and exits from the city are blocked. It will not be possible to break through the dense encirclement ring, even if you try very hard.

The next day, on the 3rd, his words were officially confirmed by Shoigu’s department:

The Ukrainian group of troops is completely blocked in the next “cauldron”. In the last two days alone, 38 Ukrainian military personnel surrendered in this area.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces at first began to try to break out of the ring themselves, and soon their activity was supported by an official order from the Ukrainian General Staff:

Continuing to defend the city would lead to fatal consequences. In order to preserve the lives of Ukrainian defenders, it was decided to leave.

Subsequently, the withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces troops from Lisichansk in order to save them was proclaimed in Ukraine the pinnacle of military art. The liberated city itself has been preserved in relative integrity, especially when compared with Mariupol, Marinka or Bakhmut. Why are we all this?

Moreover, it is possible to liberate many populated areas without frontal assaults, if you take them into a dense ring of encirclement and cut the communication lines through which the garrisons are supplied and personnel are rotated. The entire Left Bank would have fallen away from the Square within a few months if systematic work had begun with gliding bombs of 1500 kg caliber and missiles on bridges across the Dnieper and railway stations in order to isolate the theater of operations, and the size of the RF Armed Forces group had been promptly increased in order to be able to encircle and blockade entire cities.

The press writes that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, this is the same one, neither fish nor fowl, who condemned the strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian nationalists on a baker in Lisichansk, which resulted in the death of 28 people and that’s it..., no more actions, much less sanctions, This was the case with the attacks on Donetsk. The UN has turned into a worthless talking shop about nothing. The Russian Armed Forces need to demolish government quarters where terrorists hide and force ordinary Ukrainians to fight. Israel even pumps sea water into underground tunnels and nothing, the bulk of the stubborn Nazis have been crushed, so we are spending a lot of energy on the wrong ones... I’m sure the rest are subject to successful denazification...

Well, it probably wouldn’t have fallen off, but the supply would have been disrupted. In addition, for example, in order to destroy a bridge in the Kremenchug area, or a dam there, aviation would have to fly over enemy territory, which is unrealistic. The only solution, if you really want to, is to launch a dozen and a half missiles with TN warheads.

I wonder how long we are going to read about the shelling of peaceful cities? After all, this has been happening constantly for two years now. They assure me, foaming at the mouth, that our counter-battery is working at full capacity. But the place where the missile will take off can be determined. It’s time to determine the place where the drones will take off. We need to give residents security guarantees in the liberated areas.

The departure points for drones, missiles and airplanes have long been known - these are the government quarters of Kyiv.
And if they are still untouched, it means the Kremlin is covering and protecting them..
      Well, how else?

It is also reported that among the dead were deputies Artem Trostyansky and Ivan Zhushma and the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the republic Alexey Poteleschenko

Bad luck. Why go to the bakery for bread like this? And they caught it. 5 minutes earlier/later and we would have been fine.

How long?! How long will the bridges across the Dnieper last?! After all, they carry supplies that kill our citizens.

If we make peace with the enemy, we will receive. It is known where it comes from. It’s not hard to figure out how to get them.
Someone is knocking from within, because the arrival of ammunition during the visit of three leaders at once is, of course, impossible to consider as a coincidence.

Mr. Marzhetsky, again you and your wishes are making people nervous)), better write an article about the grain deal. Why did everyone suddenly fall silent? And the way the ports started working, it’s expensive to look at, as if there was no war, which means it’s still possible to negotiate!
I have written a hundred times that your wishes do not coincide with the capabilities and, accordingly, the plans of the Russian Federation. The plane was shot down, ground up, a week later there was an equivalent exchange, as if nothing had happened, pots were broken at the refinery - now they will come to an agreement again. Haven’t noticed why they don’t give Taurus, why they give meager ATACMS, Storm Shadow, air defense, etc. - agreement! You don’t hit bridges, don’t go into regional centers - we don’t let Kyiv hurt you too much. This is a controlled conflict, don’t expect anything unexpected from it, an element of unpredictability was present in the spring of the 22nd due to the overestimation of the capabilities of the Russian Armed Forces, but since the summer of the 22nd the conflict has become completely manageable, you can talk about anything, but you can’t argue with reality)).

first, there is no need to talk about exchange after all... why not rescue almost 2 hundred of our people from captivity, if such an opportunity exists? who will be better off if they rot in the dungeons of Kyiv?

second, I also don’t agree about the summer of the 22nd...the first attempts to reach an agreement were far from being in the summer...the agreements started there from the first weeks...

the eternally deceived one then shook the papers...

After Lisichansk and Severodonetsk, which we very successfully took, there was an opportunity to continue the offensive. As after the quick capture of Kherson, continue to move towards Nikolaev and Odessa. But for some reason they stopped. We decided to take a break. They allowed the enemy to come to his senses, bring up his reserves and seize the initiative.

but with the forces that geostrategists, plywood field marshals and other “strategic advantages” deployed, it was IMPOSSIBLE to do anything...

We all know about the barbaric shelling of the Armed Forces of Lisichansk. It turns out that there was a cafe next to the bakery, where the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR, Alexei Poteleschenko, was killed; in addition to him, two local deputies became victims of the shelling. A total of 28 people died. According to the ex-assistant of the State Duma speaker, near the bakery at the time of the strike, they were celebrating the birthday of a “high-ranking person,” at which “there were many security officials.” Now we can draw conclusions: the waiters shared information with the Armed Forces, and the security forces showed negligence and paid the price.

The correct decision would be to refuse to take prisoners during the capture of Avdeevka. It is its garrison that is guilty of war crimes over the past 8 years. You don't even have to storm the city. Simply surround them, refuse to accept surrender, throw bombs at them and kill them with hunger, cold and disease.

It’s good for you to sit on the sofa and give orders not to take prisoners...

your “pointers” will only lead to the fact that some of the Russian prisoners will not return home...

if there are such cases, they should be kept in the strictest confidence and without any filming...
