On December 12, 2018, the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in exceptional economic zone of Finland. At the same time, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling to cancel the implementation of this major economic project. The reaction of Russia and Finland to the actions of the American lobby in Europe was quick.

For example, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called this resolution political and not related to the economy. In turn, the Ministry of Economy and Employment of Finland reported that the position of Finland, which issued all the permits for the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, has not changed, despite the resolution of the European Parliament.

On April 5, the Government of Finland agreed to the project for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 AG gas pipeline in relation to the section passing through the country's exclusive economic zone. This situation has not changed.

- said Advisor to the Ministry Kari Klemm «РИА Новости».

In addition, the Ministry once again clarified and clarified that the legal basis for the decision to permit the laying of Nord Stream 2, adopted by the Finnish State Council, is based on the provisions of the local Law on the Exclusive Economic Zone and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Moreover, the mentioned UN Convention is based on the principle of the right of each state to lay pipelines and cables in its exclusive economic zone.

Klemm clarified that the government’s consent indicated that Nord Stream 2 was a large-scale project dealing with international energy supply issues. He recalled that Finland issued a permit based solely on a market-based approach to energy issues.

The ministry adviser added that Helsinki understands energy and security issues in Europe as a whole, and in the Baltic region in particular. Especially those related to the mentioned project. But Finland does not have specific national interests that might require opposition or, on the other hand, support for the commercial activities of Nord Stream 2 AG. That is why the State Council of Finland believes that a market-oriented approach will be the best way to increase energy security. This will lead to the fact that the EU’s internal energy market will only work more efficiently.

So what can Finland bring us so new? A flexible back is not always a sign of efficiency in the global economy and politics. Especially the Olkiluoto story. A kind of "small" masterpiece in acceptable options laughing

What about Olkiluoto ..? -Two first power units were built on time and launched ... -And they work quite well (they were modernized) and will now be operated right up to 2038 (the period of general operation will be 40 years) ...- and then the license for operation ...
-But with the third power unit the Finns ... yes ... ., when a whim suddenly appeared in Finland ... -to join NATO ... -Maybe it kept Finland from ... -this "fourth power unit" ... -they had enough problems when creating a third "charlatan western power unit" ... -And joining NATO would become much more problematic for an independent Finland ... -Hahah ...

-And here are the Finns with the third power unit ... yes ...- lounged ...

Taki, yes. Therefore, for us they are not really gurus. And we need to learn from our experience. It is the most painful, but also the most effective. To rush in search of teachers in the West, I think, is not the right way. Dead end. How many bumps have already been stuffed on it, and all there are people looking for the "philosopher's stone" there. It's like with our neighbors, all of them have already disowned us, and we are all looking for Slavic brothers there! Do you consider yourself the dumbest of all? Your problems. But it is not necessary, I think, to expose your narrow-mindedness to the public and ridicule. We must welcome them when they are "for us" and kick when they are against. That's the whole study. IMHO

Maybe the Finns began to recover. They remembered that they lived next door to the USSR.
